どうして？! Why?!

今朝外に出てみると、雨！！！ギャオォオおおお、久しぶりの雨に超興奮！最後に雨が降ったのは確か２月くらいのこと．．．８ヶ月ぶりの雨。。。
でもどうして今？おととい、この車を買ってから初めて車にワックスかけてピカピカにしてもらったばかりなのに！！

I went outside this morning and it was raining!! WOWoooooo, I got SO excited about the rain!! The last time we had rain was probably in February. It's been over 8 months.
BUT, why now?? I just had my car waxed and polished to shine the day before yesterday for the first time since we bought this car!

ケビンとたけちゃんが買い物に出かけ、これらの物を買って帰ってきました．
Kevin and T.K. went shopping and came home with all those things.




涼しくなってきて気持ちのいい日曜の午後、二人で一生懸命洗車しワックスもかけて２台の車の中も外もぴっかぴかにしてくれました．

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, two worked really hard washing and waxing our two cars inside and out.

痛〜い！ Ouch!

今朝９時に手術。理輝の親知らずを抜く手術でした。手術というと大げさなようですが、なんと全身麻酔で行われました。４５分くらいで終わったのですが、車いすで駐車場へ運ばれてきた彼はまだふらふらしていました。今は午後の３時です。順調に回復しています。ゲームボーイをすると痛みも忘れるようです。もちろん薬も飲んでいますが。。。

Surgery at 9am this morning. It was to extract Riki's four wisdom teeth. Surgery sounds over exaggerating...but it was done under general anesthesia. It took about 45 minutes. When he came out to the parking lot in a wheelchair, he was still dizzy. Now it's 3pm. and he is recovering well. Nintendo DS sure helps him not to think about the pain. Of course, he is taking strong pain killer.

ここ２ヶ月というもの、ひどい運動不足。身体はあちこち痛いし体力はないし。。そこでやっと歩く事を開始。昨日は3キロ、そして今日は5.6キロ歩きました！！家の近くのこのコース一周。適度にアップダウンがあってとても良いコースです。友達と二人で歩いてちょうど１時間かかりました。気持ちいい！続けないとな。。。

I didn't do much exercise for the last few month. It is terrible! My body aches and got no energy. I finally decided to walk. I walked 2 miles yesterday and 3.5 miles today!! This course is not far from our house and it's really nice with uphills and down.. I walked with a friend this morning and it took us for one hour. Feels good! I need to keep going...

お琴 Koto

お琴のレッスンを始めてから数ヶ月がたちました。今月末にはおさらい会があります。今その為に一生懸命練習しています。今までに７曲くらい習ったでしょうか。そして２回演奏会にも参加しました。写真はテメキュラの日本のお祭りの時の演奏会のものです。初めてですごく緊張しましたが楽しかったです。そのうち演奏のビデオをブログいたしましょう。。か？？　私は９人の中の左から３番目です。

It's been a few month since I started taking Koto lessons. There will be a performance day end of this month. I am now spending more time practicing. I've learned 7 or more songs so far. We performed in two different events. The photo is from the performance at Children's festival in Temecula. I was SO nervous that day since it was my first, but it was a lot of fun. Maybe I will post a video soon?? I am the third one from the left among nine.

ワークショップ Workshop

今日は最近テメキュラにオープンしたアップルストア（林檎ではなくて、コンピューターやiPhoneなどを売っています。）に行って、色々教わってきた。今日のクラスはiPhotoのクラスでした。終わった後に沢山質問に答えてもらって、マックを使うのがもっと楽しくなった。

I went to Apple Store which opened in Temecula recently(not a shop to sell apples, but computers, iPhones etc...) today and learned a lot there. Today's workshop was for iPhoto. I was able to ask the instructor bunch of questions about my Mac afterwards. Now,the more I know how to use it, the more fun it is.

今日のおやつ Today's snack.

ケビンのかねてよりのリクエストにお応えして、今日はおやつにコーンフリッターを作りました。基本的にトウモロコシの天ぷらですね。。。

Kevin has been begging me to make corn fritters for snack. So we finally made some today. Basically, they're corn Tempura.
