自分への挑戦 Challenging myself

今日、友達とおよそ14.2kmを歩きました。２時間半くらいかかりました。歩き始めた時はそこに戻ってこれるか不安でした。だから完歩できた時はとても嬉しかったです。疲れた〜。ここ２、３日の筋肉痛が不安です。。。。
Today, I walked 8.8 miles with my friend. It took us about 2 1/2 hours. When we just started walking, I was worried if we could come back where we started. So, I was very pleased when we completed the walk. So tired. I am now worried about possible muscle aches in next two or three days.

高校卒業式 High school Graduation

 ５月２７日午後７時。Great Oak High School 卒業式。

May 27th at 7pm.  Graduation ceremony at Great Oak High School.

 こちら予備役将校訓練課程(ROTC)の高校生です。かっこいい。

They are ROTC students.  They look cool.

In the future,  I want to be a grandma like her.

彼女は毎週土曜日のテメキュラのファーマーズマーケットに います。

フェイスペイントをして、子供たちを幸せ〜にしています。

化粧は出来ないけどフェイスペイントなら私でもできるかも。

She is always at the Temecula Farmer's Market on Saturdays.

She does face painting and makes children happy!

I cannot do make-ups, but I think I can do face painting.

すみませ〜〜ん。Excuse me~~~.

ちょっとどいてくれますか〜。私たちが食べるネクタリンなんですけど。。カタツムリはどうしてこんな高い所にある甘いネクタリンが分かったんだろう？だって彼らは地面にいるのに。。。匂うのかな？それにしても、彼らのせいで見た目の悪いネクタリンになっちゃいました。まだ熟してないので収穫できません。 見た目は悪いけど甘いからいいや。

Can you go away~~!!!  Those nectarines are for us to eat.  How do snails know there are sweet nectarines up on this tree, when they are down there on the ground?  Can they smell?  Ahhh..... they made my nectarines ugly looking.  Those are not ripe yet, so I cannot harvest.  They don't look pretty, but I know they are sweet.

今年の収穫予想 Harvest predictions

小さい木なのにた〜〜くさんネクタリンがなっています。

This small nectarine tree is bearing a looooots of fruit.

 今年はブドウも沢山なってます。

Grapes are also doing well this year.

 

 プラムがこんなになっているのは今年が初めてです。

This is the first year I've ever seen so many plums on this tree.

 去年はあまり元気がなかったこのボトルブラシフラワー、

今年はとても元気できれいに咲いています。

This is the bottle brush flower which didn't do very well last year, 

but it's blooming really well and pretty this year.

アイリスもきれいに咲いています。

Iris are blooming beautifully.

いよいよ。。。It's time...

子供祭りです。

お友達の協力で、こんなに沢山のブレスレットが出来ました。

With the help from friends, we got this many bracelets made. 

ハートやペンギン、ふくろう、バッグなども作ってみました。

たくさんうれるといいなぁ〜〜！！

I made some heart, penguins, owls and bags.

I hope we'll sell a lot!

そうそう、私はお琴も弾きま〜す。

I'll be playing KOTO, too!

木肌 Bark

 見て下さいこの木。木肌がむけてきています。

Take a look of this tree.  The bark of this tree is peeling.

スベスベの木肌が現れました。

 Smooth surface is appearing.

 なんてスベスベで綺麗な木肌。私のお肌もこんなだといいなぁ〜。

ちなみに、私じゃありませんよ、こんなところにイニシャル書きません！！！

How smooth and pretty the surface of this tree is.  Wished mine is like this.

お花畑〜！ Flower field~!

カールスバッドにある花畑に行ってきました。

We went to "THE FLOWER FIELDS" in Carlsbad. 

あちらもこちらも花

Flowers are everywhere.
