Something new that I had to learn was "CRV." My car is CR-V. (^_^) Anyway, I don't check receipts very often but my husband noticed the charge for "CRV" every time we buy bottled water or juice. What is that? CRV stands for California Refund Value. If you bring the bottles back to the recycling center, you will get the money (CRV) back. We had thrown away so many bottles, CASH!!! NOOOOOO~~~~!!!! Of course, now we never throw away any bottles.

ReplyDeleteDo I see CRV for the Trader Joe Turkey Lunch on your receipt too??? Refund for leftovers?
ReplyDeleteTurkey Lunch came with a small bottled water, cookie, and a string cheese. CRV is for that little bottle, not to recycle the left over turkey sandwitch!
ReplyDeletesounds a little weird. Do they really give you back your money?!?!?!?! ^~^
