We had the first snow of this season on Sunday and I got so excited to see it after a long time though it all melted and was gone by the afternoon. I must now hurry up and buy a winter coat as I don't have one since we always lived in warm climate in the past.

As the weather gets colder, I like to use an oven as it makes our kitchen warmer.
昨日は赤ピーマンを沢山ローストして皮をむきました。
I roasted many red bell peppers and removed their skins.
When red bell peppers are roasted, a lot of sweet juice comes out. So, I put the juice, garlic, salt and olive oil together with roasted bell peppers in a pot and heat it to boil and it's done. This dish is very nutritious, delicious and nice.
Last weekend was a long weekend because of a German holiday, so we took a short trip to a little town called Bad Oberdorf. It was about two hours drive from Munich.
This is the SPA hotel we stayed. We got so rejuvenated after different kind of sauna, indoor sulfur water pool, oil massage and eating good food. In Germany, men and women seem to go into sauna together naked. I was quite surprised when a naked man came walking towards me just outside a sauna. I was wearing a swimsuit at that time. Phew...

We stopped by at a very famous, popular and must-see sightseeing spot in Germany, Neuschwanstein Castle. The weather was so perfect that we were able to take beautiful photos.

In the beginning of the video, you see a bridge and that's where you can take the best shot of the castle, therefore it's a very popular spot and it was packed with people on that day.
After enjoying the castle, we had a light dinner. These are the must-eat food when you come to Munich, Weisswurst with pretzel and wheat beer, apple strudel with vanilla sauce, and goulash soup. They were all good.
It's a skull. It was wearing jewelries. Above the skull were some bones from parts of its body. This room was a place to keep the bones of the dead. A friend took me into this room and told me that this was a prayer room, so I was SO surprised to see this.

What a beautiful carpet of leaves. I assume those leaves return into soil to be nutrients to trees during winter until trees dress themselves with beautiful fresh new leaves in spring.

Now, this is the gift for my 53rd birthday. It's a tea kettle/tea pot from a French company, STAUB. It is so cute, made of cast iron and a bit heavy. It is not only for boiling water, but also for cooking.

I attended a cross-cultural training for two days at my hubby's office. It was very interesting to learn about German culture, custom, German ways of thinking, history and so on.
I spent so much time on internet trying to figure out how to change my Japanese driver's license to German one. Most sites were in German and I had to rely on google translate so much.

Went to a pipe organ concert at a church. The sound of organ was so beautiful and healing.

A friend showed me which ones were rose hips. Rose hips are very rich in Vitamin C and also known as a secret remedy for rejuvenation. Then, of course, my friend and I went out to look for them.
幸運にも家の近所にローズヒップの大きな木々を発見。２人で沢山収穫しました。
Luckily, we found some big rose hip bushes nearby my apartment and were able to harvest a lot.
