やった〜〜〜！！ Yeah~~~!!!

も〜〜〜〜、超ほっとしています。どうして？年に１回のお琴のおさらい会が無事に終わったんです。めちゃくちゃ緊張ぉおぉおおおおして、倒れるかと思ったよ。何回も間違えちゃったけど。。。結果よりも、参加した事とこの日の為に費やした努力と時間そして無事目的達成した事に意義あり \ (^_^) /

YEAH~~!!!!  I'm feeling a great relief.  Why?  I survived our annual KOTO recital.  I was SO so SO nervous that I thought I would faint.  I made many mistakes, but ..... well...  participation,  effort, time spent for this day and accomplishment are way more important than the result. \ (^_^) /

フランスパンだよ。French Bread.

写真の事でがっかり。。MacBookにがっかり。。。Apple社にがっかり。。。
ちょっと気分を盛り上げる為にベーキング。今回はシンプルなフランスパンです。材料はイースト、塩、砂糖、水、薄力粉に強力粉。オリーブオイルとバルサミックビネガーをつけたり、ハーブバターをつけてトーストして頂きました。美味しかった。
I was so disappointed that I lost photos, so disappointed at MacBook, and so disappointed at Apple.
To bring up my mood,  I did baking.  I baked simple French bread this time.  The ingredients are yeast, salt, sugar, water, all purpose flour and bread flour.  We ate some with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and some we put herb butter, toasted and ate.  They were good.

消えた！！！ Disappeared!!!

何が消えたと思います？！！あまりのショックに顔が歪んでしまいました。私のコンピューターに保存してあった全ての写真が一晩でどこかに消えてしまった！ゴミ箱にもどこにもない！！夏までの写真はバックアップをしてあったのでセーフ。マックのお店にコンピューターを持っていって見てもらったけど、コンピューターには何も問題ないって。。。じゃあ写真はどこに行ってしまったのぉ〜〜〜！！！誰も削除してないよ！
昨夜消えたショックでがっかりして寝ていたら、ケビンが。。「マミ大丈夫だよ。ここにいる僕たちが生きた写真だからさ。。。」だって。。本当に泣かしてくれるよ。。可愛い息子！最近は何もかもデジタルで、全てはデータ、目に見えないもの。。。写真だって、株だって、契約事だって。。。データが消えたら何も手元に残らない。。ちょっと考えさせられた。。。

What do you think disappeared?!!  I was so shocked that my face got deformed.  ALL the photos in my computer disappeared overnight!  They were not in the trash, not  anywhere on my Mac.  All the photos up to June were saved on CDs, but the rest were gone forever.  I took my computer to a Mac Shop today and had it checked.  Nothing's wrong with my computer and they didn't know what went wrong.  Then, where did my photos go?!!!  Nobody deleted any files.   We didn't do anything!!!
I was so shocked and sad in my bed last night, then Kevin said to me, "Mommy, it's OK.  We are the LIVING PHOTOS."  He was so sweet and made me cry.
Everything is in digital nowadays and they are intangible....photos, stocks, contracts etc..  once the datas are gone, we got nothing in hands.  I had many thoughts.....

税金申告 Tax Return

アメリカでは２月から４月の間に、自分で税金申告をしないといけません。今までは主人に任せていたので、税金のことなんて何も知りませんでした。でもこれではいけないと思い、先週２週間で６日間のセミナーに参加。分厚い教科書と宿題、そしてテスト。４５歳を過ぎたこの頭で新しいことを学ぶのはそれは大変でした。しかも英語で、そしてアメリカの税金申告は複雑！途中であきらめようと思いましたが、それも悔しいと思い、珍しくちょ〜真剣に勉強に励み、テストにパス。来月からいよいよ実践が始まります。
In US, people must file their own tax returns by mid. April.  My husband has been doing that for us and I had no idea about income tax.   I realized this is not good, so I attended a 6-day seminar during the last two weeks.  I received a thick textbook, workbook, and test book.  It was very challenging to learn new things at my age with the hard-to-retain-anything kind of brain in English.  It was so complicated!!  I nearly quit at some point, but I didn't want to give up!!!  I studied hard, really hard (O_O) and I passed all the test in the end.  (^_^)  YEAH!  My volunteer job as a tax preparer will start next month.

我が家の子供たちは生まれて今までに２回位しか美容院へ行ったことがありません。ティーンエイジャーになった今も私に切って欲しいと言ってきます。ヨシアは来年から大学生。いよいよ寮生活となると自分でちゃんと床屋さんに行けるようにならないといけませんね。

My children probably had been to hair salon only once or twice since they were born.  Even after becoming teenagers, they still want me to give them haircuts.  Joshua is going to college after summer and will live in a dorm.  He must learn to go and get his haircut done by professionals.  (^_^)
