鍋 Hot Pot

こちらは先週晩ご飯に頂いた鍋料理です。白菜と豚肉のミルフィーユ鍋。制作過程は楽しくて簡単そして見た目も綺麗で味も良し。皆さんもお試しあれ。

We had Hot Pot dinner last week.  This is "Nappa cabbage and sliced pork millefeuille Hot Pot."  The process of making this dish was fun and easy.  And I think the dish looked pretty and tasted good.  Does anybody want to try?

 まずは白菜の葉っぱと薄切りの豚肉を交互に重ねていきます。そして切ったら綺麗に鍋の中に並べます。
First, I layered Nappa cabbage and sliced pork. Then, I cut them and put them nicely in a pot.

水をいれ、塩こしょうをして煮込み、醤油ダレで頂きました。
Then I added some water, seasoned with salt and pepper and cooked.  We ate with soy sauce based sauce.

射撃 Shooting

１２歳の子供が射撃場で銃を撃つ経験なんて日本で出来るのかな？ケビンもよしあも楽しんでやっていましたが、りきはボーリングの方が良いと言ってやりませんでした。

I don't know if 12 years old could experience shooting in a shooting range in Japan.  Kevin and Joshua enjoyed shooting, but Riki didn't want to do it.  He said he would rather go bowling.

チャン家のクリスマスディナー Chan family's Christmas dinner

チャン家はあまりこだわりがありません。それで、クリスマスディナーにも特にこだわりがありません。美味しかったら何でもオッケー。見てくださいこれらの品々。とっても美味しかったです〜〜！！！
The Chan family is not so picky about things.  And we are not so particular about what to eat for Christmas dinner.  If the food is good, it's good.  Please take a look of what we had.  They were all so delicious!!

 営養満点チキンスープ。Very nourishing chicken soup.

 ロブスタ〜！　Lobster!!

 羊肉とネギ炒め。Lamb meat cooked with Spring onion.

 香港風はまぐり Hong Kong style clam

　

 鶏肉、椎茸、中華ソーセージ煮

Chicken, black mushroom, Chinese sausage cooked in a clay pot.

 豆苗炒め Sauteed Tao Miao vegetable

さつまいもとタピオカのデザート

Sweet potato Tapioca dessert

完食！ No leftovers! 

追伸：ちなみにこれらはレストランで頂きました。私は作っていません。
PS:  We had those at a restaurant.  I didn't cook them. (^o^)

海釣り Ocean fishing

こちらが昨日釣った魚です。お父さんが聞きました。「また海釣りに行きたい？」私とよしあとりき「いや、もういいです。湖か川で。。」ケビンは「うん」
Those are all the fish we caught yesterday.  Daddy asked, "do you wanna go ocean fishing again?"  Joshua, Riki and I said, "No thanks.  We'll rather go lake or river to fish."  Kevin said, "Yeah."

大もの！ Big catch!

やっと雨が止み、今日は海釣りへ行きました。子供も私も初めて。あらしの次の日だったから？ボートがすごく揺れました！私の収穫は可愛い魚２匹と船酔い。
Finally, rain stopped and we went ocean fishing today.  It's the first time for kids and me.  Maybe because it was right after the storm???  The boat rocked a LOT!  I got two cute little fish and seasick. 

一番の大物を釣ったのは、釣りが大好きなケビンの友達。残念ながら今この種類の魚は禁漁の為、家にもって帰れませんでした。。
The one who had a big catch was Kevin's friend who loves fishing.  Too bad that we couldn't take the fish back home because the season for this kind of fish was closed.

雨雨雨.. Rain, RAIN, Rain..

 毎日毎日雨ばっかりで、本当に嫌になっちゃいます。こんな雨の天気はここに引っ越してから初めてです。
Everyday, rain after rain after rain and I don't like it.  We never had such rainy weather since we moved here.

 雨、雨、雨。。。
Rain, Rain, Rain........

月曜日の朝、ちょっとだけお日様が差した時にとてもきれいな虹ができていました。でもその後すぐに雨が降り出しました。

On Monday morning,  we had a little bit sunshine and it created a beautiful rainbow.  But it started to rain again shortly after the rainbow.
