緊張と汗 Nervous and Sweat

理輝が運転の練習をしていまーす。本人も母も（多分母の方がもっと）緊張〜〜！！！
２人とも汗かいてます。。。明日はいよいよ実技の試験。どうなるかなー？
Riki has been practicing driving.  He himself and mommy are both tense (probably mommy is even more) !!  We get nervous sweats....  Tomorrow is the driving test.  Would he pass?  

ニンニクの皮むき Peeling a Head of Garlic

友達がこのビデオをシェアしてくれました。なんと素晴らしい！こんなに簡単にニンニクの皮が剥けちゃうなんて！今手元にニンニクがないので試してないのですが、皆さんやってみてー！
A friend of mine sent me the link to this video.  It's so cool and amazing how easily the head of garlic was peeled.  I haven't tried it myself yet since I didn't have any garlic.  Maybe you can try it first and tell me how it went.

くだもの Fruits

見てください、この果物達。。ぜーんぶお友達たちからの頂き物です。梨、林檎、桃、イチジク、ネクタリン、葡萄。小さかったり、不揃いだったりですけど、無農薬で最高！そして、とっても美味しい！！みんなありがとう！絵心でもあったら、綺麗な絵でも描いちゃったりするんでしょうけどねー。。。
Look at all those fruits.  Those are all gifts from my friends.  Pears, apples, peaches, figs, nectarines and grapes.  They tend to be small and uneven, but no pesticide which is super great!! And they taste great!  Thank you everyone!  If I was an artist, I could have painted a beautiful picture, maybe....

残り物 Leftovers

とにかく、アメリカは一人前の量が多い！！私達のように小さいアジア人には、１人前を食べきるのは無理！！家族４人でピザを２枚注文して、こんなに余っちゃった。。。冷凍庫に残り物が増えていく。。

It's just that the serving for one person in America is so big and no way we, small Asian people like us can finish everything.  We ordered two pizzas for four of us and we got this much leftovers.  Leftovers are filling up the freezer.

素敵な庭 Beautiful garden.

私達の新しい家、庭がすっごく綺麗なんです。大家さんがケビンの為にバスケットボールのゴールまで付けてくれました。

Our new house has a beautiful backyard.  Landlord even put a basket ball hoop for Kevin.

お日様たっぷりでとってもよい天気だったので、布団を干しました。

It was a beautiful day with a plenty of sunshine, so I put out my blankets to dry.

９回目の引っ越し The 9th moving

 私達結婚２３年。今回が９回目の引っ越しです。シンガポールからの荷物が月曜に配達されました。こちらが少なくとも３年間は住むつもりの家です。
We've been married for 23 years and this is our ninth moving.  Our things from Singapore were delivered on Monday.  And this is the house we'll live at least for the next three years.

 火曜日と水曜日働いて、随分荷解きしました。

We worked on Tuesday and Wednesday and got a lot of things unpacked.

毎日遅くまで頑張ってるので、美味しい物を食べなくちゃ！

We work hard every day, so we must eat good food!

韓国焼き肉食べてスタミナ付けた！

We had Korean BBQ to gain stamina!

 今日はタイ料理。なかなか美味しかった。

We had Thai food today.  It was quite good.

デザートの飾り付けが可愛い。

The presentation of the dessert was very pretty.

明日も一生懸命働いて箱をぜーんぶ片付けるぞ！

We are going to work hard again tomorrow and hoping to put away all the boxes!

テメキュラに着いたよ Arrived in Temecula

テメキュラに戻ってきました。ここから２年も離れてたのに、その２年があまりにも早く過ぎたので、たった今長いお昼寝から目が覚めたみたいな感じ。。。

We are now back in Temecula. We were gone for two years,  but the two years went so fast that I feel like I just woke up from a long nap.

今はホテル住まい。外食が続くと苦しい私は、電気釜を持参。
Now, we are staying at a hotel.  I get so tired of eating out all the time, so I brought my own rice cooker.

この本を参考に、早速玄米を炊いたー。

I cooked brown rice introduced in this book.

日本から買って来たふりかけやお茶が「イイネ。」

"Like" for those seasonings and green tea I brought back from Japan.

玄米おにぎりもつくった。美味しい。

Made brown rice ball too.  Yummy.
