趣味？! Hobby?!

 リキが先週末ゲットしたカメラ。

  Riki got this camera last weekend.

 結構高いんですよ。。趣味を持つ事は良い事だと思います。どんなものや瞬間を写真に収めるのでしょうか？私を美しくとって欲しいものです。
It's not cheap.  But, I think it's good to have a hobby.  Let's see what kind of things or moments he is going to capture in his photos.  I wish he will take beautiful photos of me!!

苦瓜 Bitter Squash

 苦瓜の花が咲き初めましたー！

Bitter Squash flowers are starting to bloom!

何となく、花の後ろに瓜っぽいものが見えるけど。もしかしてこれが苦瓜赤ちゃん？収穫が楽しみですー！
I see something looks like squash right behind the flower.   Is that the baby bitter squash?  I am so looking forward to the harvest!

世界で一番大きい The world's biggest...

こちらはシンガポールで一番大きな額の紙幣。１万ドルです。。こんな紙幣があるなんてすごいですね。現在世界で一番大きい額面の紙幣だそうです。日本円で６４万円くらい。

This is the biggest bank note in Singapore.  It's 10,000 dollars.  It's incredible that they have this.  It's the most valuable bank note in the world in current circulation.  It's about 8,200 US dollars.

チョコチップ成長記録 Choco & Chip journal

こちらは私のブログに初めて登場の晃じーじ（義理妹のお父様です！）見て下さい、チョコチップちゃん大きくなったでしょう。この写真が撮られたのも数週間前ですから、今はもっと大きいはず。すっごく可愛い顔してるでしょ！え？じーじじゃなくてチョコチップちゃんですよ。あ、じーじはハンサムです！

This is Grandpa Akira (my sister in-law's father)'s first time appearance on my blog.  Look how big Choco and Chip are now.  This photo was taken a few weeks ago, so they must be even bigger.  Aren't they so cute!?  Well, grandpa is also cute, but I should say he is handsome!!  :-))

少ない Very few

何がすごく少なくなったと思いますか？何屋さんを見つけるのが大変になったと思いますか？それは、写真屋さん！先日、写真を現像してもらおうと思って、写真屋さんを探したんですけど、本当に数少なくって、びっくりしました。デジカメやスマートフォンやコンピューターが世の中に出回る前、昔は何処にでもあったのに。ある意味寂しい。。
What do we have very few nowadays?  What shop is it hard to find?  It's a photo shop!  I had to get a photo developed, so I went out to look for a photo shop the other day.  And I was surprised to find how scarce the photo shops were.  There used to be photo shops everywhere before the digital cameras, smart phones and computers came into the world.  It's sad in some way.

栗ごはん！ Chestnut Rice.

今は１０月、秋なはず。でも、シンガポールにいると季節感がありません。秋は、栗、柿、梨、などなど。。日本にいたら、秋の美味しい物が沢山スーパーで買えるはず。先日、スーパーで栗を見つけたので、栗ごはんを作りました。美味しかったー！！
小さい頃家の庭に大きな栗の木があって、秋になるといつもそれを拾って、茹でて食べていました。栗は私の大好物。
Now is October and it supposed to be autumn.  But, we cannot experience the clear four seasons here in Singapore.  If I was in Japan during this season, I could get chestnuts, persimmons, pears and all other yummy seasonal foods in grocery stores.   The other day, I found chestnuts in a store, so I bought some and made chestnut rice.  It was delicious!  When I was a kid, our family had a big chestnut tree in our backyard and I used to pick up a lot of chestnuts, boiled them and ate.   Definitely, chestnut is one of my favorite food.

短髪 Short hair

先週末髪の毛を切りました。短髪は髪を洗うのも楽だし、早く乾くし、気に入ってます。あらあら。。(顔がしわだらけネーーー。冗談言って笑い過ぎてんのよねー。)
I had a haircut last weekend.  It's short and I like it because it's so much easier to shampoo and blow dry.          (oh..no.. so much wrinkles ....   I think I joke too much and laugh too much....)
