♡のクッション ♡ Pillow

アリゾナのお友達がこんな可愛らしい♡のクッションを送ってくれました。この♡ボランティアの方々の手作りだそうです。胸に入れるんじゃあないですよ！

A friend in Arizona sent me those charming heart shaped pillows.  Those pillows were handmade by volunteers.  They are not meant to put on my chest!

こうして腕の下に入れると、脇の下の痛みがちょっと緩和されて楽です。Mさん、ありがとう！

Putting those pillows like this helps ease the pain under my arm.  Thank you, Ms. M!

到着と開始 Arrived & Started

チャン家での大人気有名人よしあが上海の大学での夏期講習を終えて、土曜日にシンガポールへ到着。待ってましたーー！

The celebrity in Chan family, Joshua arrived in Singapore on Saturday after finishing his summer school at a university in Shanghai.  We'd been waiting for you~!

それから、月曜日に学校が始まりました。いよいよ恵敏も高校１年生！理輝は高校最後の年。
And the school started on Monday.  Now, Kevin is a freshman in high school!  And Riki is a senior, the last year of high school.

結婚記念日 Anniversary

今日で結婚２２年を迎えました。出会ってから１０ヶ月で結婚。アドベンチャーたっぷりの結婚生活ですねー。

Today is our 22nd Anniversary.  We got married 10 months after we first met.  Our marriage life has been filled with adventures.

徳利蜂 Potter Wasp

こちらは徳利。

This bottle is called "TOKKURI" and is to serve Sake(rice wine).

そしてこちらは徳利蜂の巣。まさしく徳利ですよね。

This is Potter wasp's nest.  We call the wasp, "TOKKURI-BACHI."  The nest and the bottle do look alike, don't they?!

 巣を作り始めた所。

This was when they started making their nest.

This is quite interesting, right?  You can make the photo upside down and there, you have a bottle for Sake!

食べ物 Food

 現在療養中の私に代わって、義理両親が家事炊事をしてくれています。彼らは、インドネシア育ちで、大学は上海、そして現在香港在住。なので、色んな種類の食べ物を作ってくれます。インドネシア料理から上海料理、広東料理。こちらは、ココナツ風味のスープとエビの麺。美味しかったー！
Now I am recuperating at home, so my parents in-law are doing all the house works for me.  They were raised in Indonesia, went to universities in Shanghai, and now live in Hong Kong.  So, they cook all sorts of food such as Indonesian, Shanghainese, Cantonese etc.  This one was noodle with coconut flavored soup and shrimp.  It was delicious!

義理両親は色んな果物を買って来ては食べさせてくれます。こちらはインドネシアの果物でチェンペダック(chempedak)と言うそうです。ジャックフルーツに似ていますが違います。とても甘いのですが、とても強い独特な匂いがありました。種がたくさんあるのですが、そちらは茹でて食べました。お芋のようでした。
They introduce us to different kind of fruits as well.  This is a Indonesian fruit called chempedak.  It looks like jack fruits, but it's different.  It was very sweet, but it had very strong flavor.  It also got so many seeds and we boiled them and ate them.  It tasted like potato.

爆弾 Bomb

私、身体に２ミリほどの小さな爆弾を抱えている事が６月始めに発覚！

In early June, I found out that I was carrying a tiny 0.07inch bomb in my body!

ご心配なく！小さな爆弾は８月２日木曜日の午後、無事に外科医の手により私の身体から切り離されました。
Don't panic!  The tiny bomb was successfully detached from my body by a surgeon on Thursday afternoon, August 2nd.

爆弾が付いていたのはこの部分。今はもう身軽になって家に帰り、痛みもなく（もちろん痛み止めは一日２回飲んでますけど）、元気に静養しています。
This is where the bomb was.  I am back home now, feeling much lighter, no pain(of course, I am taking painkiller twice a day), and resting cheerfully.

帰りました。We are back.

私達、日本での休暇を終えて、シンガポールに帰ってきました。やっぱりこちらは蒸し暑い！この湿気になれるのにはちょっと時間がかかるかもしれません。こちらは、８月９日の独立記念日に向けてでしょうか、街の通りや、ビル、家、車、色んな所でシンガポールの国旗が見られます。日本でこんなに沢山の日の丸の旗が掲げてあるのなんて見た事がありません。シンガポールの人は愛国心が強いのでしょうか。

We are now back in Singapore after a long vacation in Japan.  It is indeed really humid here and it will take a while to get used to this humidity.  Now the National Day of Singapore is approaching, I see so many national flags on the streets, buildings, houses, cars and everywhere in Singapore.  The independence day is on August 9th.  I've never seen this many national flags put up anywhere in Japan.    Singaporeans are maybe more patriotic.
