お母さん床屋は卒業です。だって、お母さんはファッション雑誌のナウいカットなんて出来ません。。。「ナウい」なんて言ってる時点でアウト？！
No longer getting a haircut from mommy!  Mommy cannot do the styles in fasion magazines!  Hers is outdated.   :-(

今日のランチ Today's lunch.

 今日は近くのホーカーセンターまで歩いて、ランチを食べてきました。サトウキビジュースとワンタンめん。お一人様295円。
We walked to a nearby Hawker center and had lunch.  We each had a glass of sugarcane juice and wonton noodle.  US$ 3.50 each person.

猫が午後の昼寝を楽しんでいました。超リラックス！

１９歳! 19 !

 この日から１９年経った今は以下の感じ。。。変わりましたー？

Nineteen years has passed since ... and now he looks like below...  Has he changed?

３月８日はよしあのお誕生日。お誕生日を一緒に祝う事が出来なかったのは今回が初めて。ちょっと寂しかったですねーー。こちらの写真は、先月お父さんが出張でロサンゼルスへ行った時に一緒にご飯を食べた時に撮ったもの。アメリカへの出張は最低年に４回はあるので、お父さんは最低年に４回はよしあと会えます。母が会えるのは年に２回よしあが帰省する時だけです。でも、いっつもメールでやり取りしてます！！(^_^)

March 8th was Joshua's birthday.  This birthday was the first birthday we couldn't celebrate together.  I was a little sad.  :-(   This picture was taken when daddy went to Los Angeles on a business trip and took Joshua out for lunch and dinner last month.  Daddy has at least four business trips to US every year, so he get to see Joshua at least four times a year.  Mommy only gets to see him twice a year when he comes to visit us.  But we text each other all the time! :-)

社会奉仕 Community Service

ケビンが先週の土曜日に学校の仲間達とインドネシアのバッタムまで家を建てるお手伝いに行ってきました。これは学校の授業の一環でもあり、自分たちで選んでやる事に決めた活動でもあります。この汚れたシャツと半ズボンをみたら、一生懸命働いたケビンの姿が想像できるかと思います。

Kevin went to Batam, Indonesia with a group of friends from school last Saturday to help build a house for a family.  This project was a part of school curriculum, but it was also a voluntarily work that children chose to do.  You could probably picture Kevin working very hard by looking at this dirty T-shirt and short. 

彼らはこの家族の為に家を建てるお手伝いをしました。家を建てる為の資材を買うお金も子供たちが募金活動をして集めました。ケビンはお手伝いをしてもらったお金を全部この為に寄付しました。以前お財布を売ったのを覚えていますか？そのお金もこの為に使いました。このへんの彼の気前の良さには感心します。ハビタットという団体を通して行きました。皆さんもこの活動に参加してみてはどうでしょう？
They helped to build a house for this family.  Kids had to raise funds to buy materials for the house as well.  Kevin donated all the money from doing his chores and also, remember the wallets he made and sold?, he donated those money as well.  I admire his generosity.  This project was through Habitat for Humanity.  Would you like to consider being part of those projects?

答えはこちらです。頭をマッサージするもの。知りませんでしたが、アメリカでも売っているみたいですよ。。トライしてみたんですけど、ちょっとぞくぞくっとして全身鳥肌ってかんじでした。キッチンや手芸用品？というお答えがありました。。確かにそうも見えますね。クイズに参加して下さってどうもありがとう！
 The answer is this, a head massager.  I didn't know, apparently it is available in US, too.  I tried it at the spot, it was quite sensational, tingling and gave me goose bumps from head to toe.  Some of my readers' answers were for cooking or crafting.  Hmm, yes, they do look like for those purpose, too.  Thank you for your participation in this quiz!

今朝チャイナタウンで見つけた結構優れものなこれ。本当は欲しかったんだけど、１個１９ドルもするから買わなかった。。自分で作れるかな?! ところで、これ何だ？
This, I think, is a pretty amazing thing I found in China town this morning.  I wanted to buy one, but it was S$19 each, so I didn't buy any.  I wondered I could make one?!  BTW, what do you think this is?

この巨大バッタを庭で発見。だいたい１０センチくらいあるんですよ。

I found this huge grasshopper in the garden.   It's about 4 inches!! 

こちらのカタツムリも、大きかったです。

This snail was very big, too.

幸いにも今のところ巨大トカゲにはお目にかかっていません。

Thank God, I haven't seen any huge lizard around here yet.
