本当に感謝な事に家探し２日目にして私たちの必要と予算にあった家が見つかりました。こちらは玄関です。ちなみにこの近所の家が２億５千万位で売りに出ていました。もう超びっくりです！！！シンガポールは狭いから土地付きの家なんてすっごく高いんですよね。

Thanks to God, on the second day of our house hunting, we found a house that fit our need and budget.  This is the entrance.  FYI, the house close to this one was selling for 3.3million US dollars.  SO expensive and I'm speechless!  Singapore is so small, therefore landed houses are so expensive.

This is the kitchen.  House is 2756 sqft, 4 bedrooms and 1 study.

こちらは、私がす〜〜っごく気に入った家なんですけど。。ちょっと立地と浴室が好きではなくてやめました。でも、本当に素敵な家でした。
This is a house I really liked.  Unfortunately, bathrooms weren't the way I liked and the location wasn't very good, so we didn't take this one.  But it was a beautiful house!

家探し House hunting

昨日はエージェントの方といくつかの物件を見に行ってきました。私にはこういう高層マンションは無理です。コンクリートに囲まれていると息が出来なくなりそうです。大きなプールや遊具もいりません。沢山の緑と広い空がないとだめです！今日は家探し２日目で〜す。
Yesterday, an agent took us to see some properties to rent.  I cannot live in those high rise condos.  I feel like I cannot breathe when I'm surrounded by all those tall concrete buildings.  I don't need a big swimming pool nor playground.  I need greenery and big sky!  Today is the second day of house hunting.

マンゴスチン Mangosteen

シンガポールには色んな種類のトロピカルフルーツがあります。こちらはマンゴスチン。ちょっと甘酸っぱくてとっても美味しいです！これからも時々皆さんに色んなトロピカルフルーツを紹介しますね！
 There are many varieties of tropical fruits in Singapore. This is MANGOSTEEN.  It tastes sweet, slightly sour and very good!   I will introduce more tropical fruits every now and then to you all!

こちらは私の今日のランチ。ご飯と昨日デパ地下で買った出来合のかき揚げ。ランチも１人だとつまらないですね。誰か一緒に行きませんかぁ〜？
This is my lunch today.  Rice and Tempura I bought at a department store yesterday.  It's boring to do lunch alone.  Does anybody want to go with me~~???

学校１日目 First day of school

 いよいよ学校が始まります。彼らはシンガポールアメリカンスクールに行きます。制服があるのが良いですねぇ〜。似合ってますよね！
Finally, school is starting.  They go to Singapore American School.  It's good that they have uniforms.  Don't they look handsome!!?

 スクールバスがアパートの向かい側に６時５８分に来る予定。外はまだ薄暗かったです。
School bus was supposed to come to the opposite side of our serviced apartment at 6:58am.   It was still a little dark outside.

１５分遅れでバスが到着。帰りは午後４時頃の予定。学校までは３０分位です。
The bus arrived 15 minutes later.  They will be back around 4pm.  It takes about 30min. to get to school.

自炊 Cooking my own meal

私たちは２週間外食しています。でも今日は久しぶりにご飯を炊いて、目玉焼きを作って、インスタントみそ汁を作って朝食を食べました。借りたお釜で、計量カップもなかったので、ご飯がちょっと固めでしたけど、オッケー！卵にかける醤油も塩もなかったけど、これまたオッケー。美味しかったよ。
 We've been eating out for two weeks.  But today, after a long time, I cooked rice, egg, and instant miso-soup for breakfast.  I used the rice cooker we borrowed from the serviced apartment which didn't come with a measuring cup, so I couldn't figure the right amount of water and the rice was not quite soft enough, but it was OK.  We didn't have soy sauce nor salt, but it's OK. They were good.

シンガポールで初めての週末 First weekend in Singapore

 マリナベイサンズの良い写真が撮れました。そのうち行ってみたいですね。
I was able to take a good picture of Marina Bay Sands.  I hope to visit there soon.

今日はエスプラネードへ行きました。沢山アートがあって見るのが楽しかった！

We went to Esplanade today.  There were many different arts displayed and it was fun looking at them.

無料コンサートもいくつかありました。

There were few free concerts, too.

晩ご飯は韓国料理でした。美味しかった。

We had Korean food for dinner.  It was GOOD!

チキンライス Chicken Rice

シンガポールに来たら必ず食べて下さい、チキンライス！日本＝寿司。アメリカ＝ハンバーガー?!　シンガポール＝チキンライス!　ちなみにこれは今日の晩ご飯。

If you ever come to Singapore, you must eat CHICKEN RICE!  Japan=Sushi, America=Hamburger, Singapore=Chicken rice!!  This is our dinner tonight.
