ハッピーバレンタインデー！Happy Valentine's Day!

見てください！！こんな素敵な手作りクッキーを今日お友達から頂きました。あまりにも綺麗すぎて食べるのがもったいなぁ〜〜いと思いましたが。。もちろん食べましたよ！美味しかった！テメキュラの熱気球見たいに見えるのもあるね。。それにしてもあまりにも上手な仕上がりに感動です。

Look at these!!  A friend gave me these beautiful homemade cookies today.  It's too beautiful and I felt hesitant to eat, but of course, I did eat (^_^) .  They were delicious.  Some look like hot air balloons in Temecula.  I am SO so impressed by how beautifully she decorated her cookies.

ケビン君。今日は半日ベビーシッター。

３歳の男の子と遊びながらこんなものを作りましたよ。

Kevin babysit a three-year-old boy for a half day today and this is what he made.

映画館で。。。 At a Cinema

ケビンのお誕生日に映画館の１室を貸し切って、XBOX360を大きなスクリーンで遊びました。普段大勢で映画を見る場所に、私たち家族と数人の友達だけって言うのもヘンな感じでした。ビデオゲームを大きな映画のスクリーンでするのはなかなかの迫力でした。音もすごく良かったです。ちなみに、１時間貸し切りで６５ドル。ケビンはご満悦。

We rent out a Cinema and played XBOX360 on a Big Screen!  I felt a bit funny just having our family and few friends in such a big room where normally filled with a lot of people.  Playing video games on the big screen was really exciting and the sound was awesome.  FYI, we paid $65 for an hour of gaming.  Kevin and his friends were all VERY HAPPY!

ポカポカ陽気 Beautiful weather

このところ毎日とても暖かくて気持ちのいい日が続いています。でも家の中はちょっと寒くってヒーターをつけてしまいたくなります。先日お友達が聖書の学びに来た時、外の方がずっと暖かかったので、ピクニックテーブルを出して、外でお茶を飲みながら勉強しました。背中に当たる日差しがとても暖かくて、身体の芯まで暖まりました。青空の下で勉強したりお茶をしたりするのはとっても気持ちがいいですね。色んな小鳥のさえずりまで聞こえてとても素敵な時間を過ごしました。

We've been blessed with warm beautiful weather these days.  But it's still a little cold inside our house and I'm tempted to turn the heater on sometimes.  I had friends over for the Bible study the other day.  It was much warmer outside, so we decided to set up a picnic table and had the study and a tea time outside.   The sun light hit our back and warmed our entire body.  It felt so good to study and had tea outside under the clear blue sky.  We heard different birds' chirping and it made our time even more special.

ティーンエイジャー！Teenager!

我が家にもう一人ティーンエイジャーが誕生です！

恵敏は今日で１３歳になりました。なんて可愛い笑顔！(^_^) ！

We officially have another teenager at home!  

Kevin turned thirTEEN today.  Love his smile !(^_^)!

ちなみに今回のバースデーケーキはキャラメルアップルケーキです。
もちろん、おいしかったですぅ〜〜〜！！！
FYI, the birthday cake for Kevin was a Caramel Apple Cake.  Yummy!

新年快楽 Happy Chinese New Year!

今日２月３日は、旧正月の元旦です。こちらの赤い封筒は日本で言うとお年玉、中国では紅包といいます。この紅包を大晦日の夜に子供たちにあげて、子供たちはそれを枕の下に入れて寝ると新しい年にはお金が沢山やって来るみたいな意味合いがあるのだそうです。出張中の主人に大晦日に子供に紅包をあげるようにと言われていたのに、すっかり忘れてしまった私でした。忘れないようにと数日前から準備をして、目につくところに置いておいたのに！！だめだった。。。忘れてしまった！！！がっくし。。

Today, February 3rd is the first day of Lunar New Year.  This red envelope is called "HongPao."  We put money inside this envelope and give them to children the night before the new year.  They supposed to put envelopes under their pillows and sleep.  Then, it supposed to bring prosperity and more money throughout the year. My husband who is out of town now asked me to give kids the red envelopes, but I forgot!  I prepared the envelopes a couple days ago and put them where I could see, BUT I FORGOT!!!  Ah.... so disappointed...

山の上の雪は溶け始め、丘の花が沢山咲き始めました。

The snow on the mountains started to melt.
 And the flowers on the hills started to bloom.
