おふくろの味 Comfort Food

今日恵敏からこんな写真が送られて来ました。彼が自分で作った味噌焼き焼きおにぎりです。そのコメントはComfort Food 。日本語に訳すとおふくろの味でしょうか。でも実はおふくろの味というよりも、ばば（祖母）の味と言った方が良いのかもしれません。毎年夏休みに実家に帰るといっつもばばが作ってくれました。私にとってもおふくろの味です。
Today, Kevin sent us this photo with a comment saying "comfort food."  He cooked these Japanese grilled Onigiri(rice ball) with Miso paste.  When "comfort food" is expressed in Japanese language, it usually means mom's cooking that you grew up with and you miss it as an adult.  However, this particular comfort food should be rather expressed as grandma's cooking instead of mom's.  My mother used to cook these all the time for our children when we visited her every summer.  It is a comfort food for me as well.
