オクトーバーフェストまで１ヶ月 Oktoberfest in a Month

今年のオクトーバーフェストは9月22日から10月7日。

This year's Oktoberfest is from September 22 to October 7.

 この写真は今日撮りました。１ヶ月後にはこの場所全く違うでしょうね。

I took this photo today.  This place would be so different in a month!

 こーんな樹々にに囲まれて光が所々入って輝いている通りが大好きだなー。

I love those streets covered by trees and sunlight shines through the leaves.  

 ２週間前に友達とストラウビンという町のGauboden Volksfest お祭りに行って来ました。オクトーバーフェスみたいなものです。この日はすんごく暑かったのでこのビール一杯がとっても美味しかった。
I went to a Gauboden Volksfest in Straubing with a friend two weeks ago.  This is very similar to Oktoberfest.  That day was so hot and a glass of beer tasted soooo good!

牛の丸焼きがありました。。でも残された物は骨だけ。。。

There was a roasted cow.  However, nothing left but bones....

ここのフェストでは大きなテントが５つありました。

There were five big tents at this fest.

車の旅パート２ Road Trip Part 2

 あらま。。前回の車の旅パート１の投稿からもう４週間も過ぎちゃって。。今更もう投稿は辞めようかなと思いましたが。。。さてさて。。パート２。
Oh, No....  four weeks has passed already since my last post on Road Trip Part 1.  I thought of not posting anymore, but here goes the part 2.

さてここはスイスの 高速休憩所。地元の牛乳とヨーグルトを美味しくいただきました。
Here we were at a rest area on a freeway in Switzerland.  We had some yummy local milk and yogurt.

 そこからの湖の眺めは長野の実家から程遠くない所にある湖の景色に似ていました。
The view of the lake from there reminded me of a lake not too far from my hometown.

 フランスへ入りまーす。Entering France!

私達のこの日の目的はアルプスで一番高い山モンブランを見る事。ここからケーブルカーに乗ってモンブランに近い山Aiguille du Midiを目指します。

Our goal that day was to go to see the highest mountain in the Alps, Mont Blanc!!  We took a cable car from here to get to the mountain close to Mont Blanc called Aiguille du Midi.

 上についたら何と雪が降って来ました!  夏から一気に冬。
When we got to the top, it started to snow!  Suddenly, summer changed to winter.

こんなに雪が残っていましたよ。So much snow was still left.

 私達がいた所では65%酸素が薄くなっていたようですが私は何も感じませんでした。
The oxygen was 65% less at where we were, but I didn't feel any difference.

この日はサッカーワールドカップの決勝戦の日でした。頂上にいたレンジャーの人が顔にフランス国旗のフェースペインティングをしてくれて。。フランス応援準備ですよ。
This day was the day of FIFA World Cup Final.   We had face paintings of French flag done by the rangers in the mountain and were ready to cheer for France.

あ。。。肝心のモンブランですけど。。。散々雲が晴れるのを待っていたのですけど、結局雲は晴れずモンブランを見る事が出来ませんでした。ちょっとがっかり。。。。
Oh... our goal of the day,  Mont Blanc!!  We waited a long time for the cloud to move, but it didn't and we couldn't see Mont Blanc.  It was a bit disappointing....

私達がAnnecyのホテルに着いた丁度その時、フランスの大騒ぎが始まりました。フランスがサッカーワールドカップ2018年優勝した瞬間だったんです。

When we just arrived at a hotel in Annecy, France went crazy!!!  It was the moment they just won the FAFA World Cup 2018.

私もちょっと一緒にお祝いして。お食事に出かけました。

I celebrated with them a little and went out for dinner.

このフランス料理店L'Azimuth45美味しかったわー！

This French restaurant, L'Azimuth45 was very good!

豆乳ヨーグルト Soy Milk Yogurt

 アボカドの種をスターターに使ってヨーグルトが出来ると言うので、早速やってみる事に。その講師が豆乳で作っていたので、自家製豆乳も作りました。
I found that I could use an avocado seed as a starter for making yogurt, so I decided to try.  The instructor was using soy milk, so I even made soy milk myself.

アボカドでーす。このアボカドの種を取って、入れ物に投入。

 Here is an avocado.  I took the avocado seed and put it into a container.

 そこへ豆乳を投入（駄洒落だ。。）

Pour in the soy milk.

１２時間放置しておいたら、過醗酵の豆乳ヨーグルトになってしまいました。透明部分は乳清（ホエー）で沢山健康効果があるので飲みます。ナイスでスムーズでお気に入りのヨーグルトが出来るまで再度挑戦してみよう！
I left it about 12 hours and I got over fermented soy milk yogurt.  The liquid part is called whey and has many health benefits, so I will drink them.  I will try again until I get some nice and smooth yogurt I like.

28年目の結婚記念日 28th Wedding Anniversary

８月１１日は２８回目の結婚記念日でした。タケちゃんがバイオリンコンサートとお洒落なディナーをアレンジしてくれました。このバイオリンソリストがメチャ上手でとっても印象的でした。

August 11th was our 28th wedding anniversary.  T.K. arranged a ticket for a violin concert and a fancy dinner.  This violin soloist was super good and impressive.

 こちらがその晩のメニュー。This was the menu for that night.

モッツァレラチーズとプチトマト。Mozzarella cheese and a mini tomato.

 アボガドとヨーグルトの冷製スープ。さっぱりしていて美味しかったー。

Chilled avocado and yogurt soup.  It was very refreshing and delicious.

 こちらがメイン。This was the main dish.

 ドイツの赤ワインを一杯頂きました。フルーティーで軽くて美味しかった。

I had a glass of German red wine.  It was fruity and light and I liked it.

 デザート食べたらもうかなりお腹いっぱい。

By the time I finished my dessert, I was quite stuffed.

駐車場へ向かう途中、偶然その日のコンサートのバイオリンソリストに遭遇。街中でちょっとお喋り。現在21歳のイタリア人の彼は7歳の時からバイオリンを始めたそうです。彼の名前はPaolo Tagliamentoさん。とっても素敵な結婚記念日の晩をアレンジしてくれた夫に感謝。
On the way to a parking garage,  we came across the violin soloist from that night's concert by coincidence.  We chatted a little on the street.  His name is Paolo Tagliamento.  He started his violin when he was seven and now is 21 years old.  Thanks to my hubby for arranging a nice anniversary evening.

７年目突入 Entering 7th Year

2012年の８月に乳がんの手術を受けてから６年が過ぎました。今の所再発なし。感謝感謝です。恵敏の小さくて幼い事！理輝は今やサラリーマン。私はそんなに変わってないと思うけど、子供達の６年てすごい変化。
Six years had passed since I had a surgery for my breast cancer in August, 2012.  There is no recurrence for now and I am so grateful.  Kevin looks so short and so young.  Riki is now a businessman.  I don't think I haven changed much in six years, but the six years for boys meant a big change.

あの時よく手伝ってくれたなー。今はそれぞれ一人暮らしで自分で料理しています。この頃から練習していたから上手だよね。
They helped me a lot at that time.  Now they live on their own and do their own cooking.  They are so good at it as they had plenty of practice.
