アリゾナの倉庫においてあった箱のひとつで、クリスマス用品と書かれた箱を久しぶりに開けてみました．懐かしいクリスマスの飾り物が出てきました．その中の一つが、クリスマスツリーの下をカバーするツリースカート。ヨシアがお腹にいた頃、私が友達と一緒にキルトを楽しんでいた頃の作品です。ミシンでピーシングをして、手でキルトをしました。我が家ではまだクリスマスツリーを出していないので、ちょっとポンチョとして着用してみようかな？？？なんて。。。
I opened one of the boxes that came from the storage in Arizona. On the box it was written "Christmas decorations." The decorations inside, each had its memories and brought me back to those days when children were still cute little babies. One of them is this quilted tree skirt. When I was pregnant with Joshua, I used to get together with friends and quilt. This one is machine pieced and hand quilted. I haven't put out our Christmas tree in the house yet, so for now wearing it as a poncho
I can just imagine your little babies back then... So cute. We just put our tree up yesterday, after much reluctance on my part. I'm now very glad. Would love to have a quilted tree skirt! Hmm... maybe my first project when I'm ready to learn.
