理輝がスイスから帰ってきましたー！めちゃ楽しかったそうですー。彼の撮った写真をお楽しみ下さい。

Riki came back from Switzerland.  He said he had a really great time.  I hope you enjoy the pictures he took during the trip.

顔は日焼けしてスキーのゴーグルの跡が！こちら彼が買って来てくれたお土産、スイスチョコレートです。とっても美味しかったよ。ありがとう、理輝！
He got ski goggle tan on his face!  He bought those swiss chocolates for us as souvenirs.  They were delicious.  Thank you, Riki!

青空は良い Love the blue sky

このところずっと天気が悪くって、曇りか雨だったシンガポール。久しぶりの青空に気分も爽快！やっぱりお日様輝く青空っていいですね。これで体調も良くなりそうだ。

The weather in Singapore had been so bad these days.  It had been always cloudy and rainy.  Today, we got beautiful blue sky and I feel great!  The blue sky with sunshine is a blessing indeed.  I have a feeling that my flu will be completely gone soon.

気持ちがよかったので、床を磨いて、家の中に光と風も入れて、気分さらに爽快。
I was feeling great, so I mopped the floor and invited sunshine and breeze into the house and that made me feel even greater!

DIY ヘアカット DIY Haircut

 髪の毛を切りに行くのが面倒だったので、思い切って自分で切ってみました。まあまあだ。
I was so lazy to go out to get my haircut, so I gave myself a haircut instead.  I think it looks OK.

こちら、保育園時代の私。さて、私はどれでしょう？怒ってるみたい？！素敵な髪型？！

 見事で力強いパフォーマンスでしたー。

It was a wonderful and powerful performance.

 まだ食べてるのー？もう１０分くらい経つけど〜〜。

Still eating?  It's been almost 10 minutes....

じゃじゃーーん！なんと、獅子さんはみかんを食べていませんでした。代わりにこんなメッセージを残していきました。お皿の右側「今年」左側「沢山の財，富」そしてお皿の上には「繁盛」だそうです。優しいご近所さん、見ず知らずの私達を家の中に招いてくれて、この大変興味深い出来事の一部始終を見学させてくてありがとうございました。
Tadah~!  The lions weren't eating mandarines, instead they left this message on the floor.  Right side of the plate says, "This Year."  Left side says, "Great Wealth." On the plate says, "Prosperity."  Thanks to the very generous neighbor who invited us/strangers into their house so we could witness this very interesting event from the beginning to the end.

新年快楽 Happy Chinese New Year!

旧正月明けましておめでとうございます。皆さんにとって最高の年でありますように。今年は巳年。蛇嫌い。。。それから今ウイルス性の風邪ですごくかったるい。
Happy Chinese New Year.  Wishing you al the best for the new year. This year is the year of snake.   I don't like snakes!!  And I am so sick with the FLU right now..

こちらが、昨日誕生日ケーキを焼く代わりに焼いた菓子パン。

This is the sweet bread I baked instead of baking a birthday cake yesterday.

 なんだか、とっちゃったオッパイの代わりにちょうどいいサイズだわ (^O^)
Wow, this looks just the right size to replace my missing breast!  (^O^)

クッキー生地の下に抹茶をちょっとふったのがめちゃくちゃ美味しかったです。

The one with a sprinkle of green tea powder under the cookie dough was super good.

Here is the recipe, it makes 12.

For bread: Bread flour 240g, all purpose flour 60g, sugar 60g, salt 3g, dry milk 12g, butter 45g, one egg, yeast 6g, water 120g.  Hope you know how to make bread! 

Recipe for the cookie dough to put on the bread just before baking;

One egg,  weigh the egg and prepare the same weight of butter, sugar and all purpose flour as the egg.  Mix sugar and butter, then add one egg and flour.  put this cookie dough on top of the bread right before you put them into the oven.  180C bake 12-15min.

１５歳 Fifteen!

今日は２月４日月曜日。 Today is February 4th, Monday.

 恵敏の１５歳のお誕生日でした。

It was Kevin's 15th birthday. 

 晩ご飯は日本料理。We had Japanese food for dinner.

今日はむちゃくちゃ美味しいパンを焼いたんですけど、ケーキは焼けなかったのでお店で買って来たものでお祝い。私の末っ子ちゃんがもう１５歳ですって！急いで大きくならなくていいよーって感じです！！
Today, I baked super yummy bread, but I couldn't bake any cake.  So, we celebrated with the store bought cakes.  My youngest baby is 15 already!  I want to tell them not to rush to grow so fast!

洗濯機 Washing machine

こちらが我が家の洗濯機。借りている家についてきました。

This is our washing machine.  It came with the house.

 この洗濯機がですね。。1回のサイクルですっごく時間がかかるんです。ちょっと汚れのひどかった洗濯を洗う為にスーパー４０にしてみたら、なんと２時間半もかかりました。普通のサイクルでも１時間半以上もかかるんですよ。それでいて、洗ったものがすごく綺麗になっているわけでもないんです。新しい洗濯機買おうかなー。
This machine takes so long to run the one cycle.  The other day, I had to wash some heavily soiled clothes, so I used "super 40" cycle.  It took over 2 1/2 hours!!!  Even the regular cycle takes over 1 1/2 hours.  It takes so long, but it doesn't clean so well.  Should I consider buying a new one?
