言い訳。。 Excuse

 私が料理を楽しめない理由はこのキッチン。狭くて、暗くて、エアコンもない。
The reason I don't enjoy cooking is this kitchen.  It's small, dark and no AC.

 そして、ダイニングからも離れていて、孤立状態。

And it's away from dining room and totally isolated.

じゃあカリフォルニアにいた時に私が料理好きだったかと言うとそれほどでもないけれど、少なくとも、嫌いではなかったなー。明るくて、広くて、キッチンだけが孤立してる感じじゃあなかったから。。
Then, did I use to like cooking so much when I was in California?  Not really....but I didn't hate it.  It was at least a bit more enjoyable, because the kitchen wasn't isolated, brighter and spacious.

お尻 Bottom

こんな可愛いお尻見たことないですよー。こちらはチョコちゃんとチップちゃん。今は姪達と一緒に住んでいますが大きくなったら、バナナちゃんと一緒のお家に住みます。
I've never seen such a cute butt!  They are "CHOCO" and "CHIP."  They are living with my nieces in their house until they grow big enough to live with "BANANA"  

こちらは９月初旬の写真。すっかり弟家族の一員になっているひよこちゃん達。。揃ってご飯の後のテレベ観賞？! 今はもっと大きいみたいですよ。
This photo was taken in early September.  They fit right into my brother's family.  Here, they are enjoying the family time together after dinner?!  They are much bigger now.

超痛ぁ〜〜！！ Super OUCH~!

この２枚の写真の関係わかりますか？この角っこと、私のおでこですよ！もーー、超痛くて涙でました！
Can you guess what's the relationship of those two pictures?  That corner and my forehead!  It hurt so bad that I cried!

１０週間後に In 10 weeks

ここはチャンギ国際空港出発ターミナル。長い夏休みを終えてヨシアがロサンゼルスへ帰って行きました。でもでも、１０週間後にはまた帰ってきまーーす！だから、お別れも悲しくなかった \ (^_^) /
Here is the departure terminal at Changi International Airport.  Joshua went back to Los Angeles after a long summer break.  BUT but..  he is coming back here in 10 weeks!  SO, I wasn't so sad to say good-bye.  \ (^_^) /

苦瓜 Bitter Melon

 数週間前に苦瓜の種を蒔きました。随分大きくなって来たので、男性陣に棚を作ってくれるように頼みました。
I planted some bitter melon seeds a few weeks ago.  Now, they are getting big, so I asked boys to build trellises.

幸い庭に竹があるので、彼らはそれを切って、なにやら始めました。
Good thing was that we had bamboo in our yard.  They cut them and started working on the structure.

どうなるかなー？っと思ってたんですけど。。。
I was wondering how it would turn out....

男性陣様、良く出来ましたー！これで、家の中のダイニングの日よけにもなります。
Well done, boys!!  This is going to create shade to our dining area inside the house.

あと１週間 One more week

よしあのシンガポール滞在も後１週間になりました。そこで２人でチャイナタウンへお土産探しに出かけました。街は中秋節の飾りでとても綺麗でした。

Joshua's stay in Singapore is only one more week left.  So, he and I went to China town to look for some gifts to take home for his friends.  The streets were beautifully decorated for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

なんか目が腫れぼったくて変。。それはいいとして。。彼は本当に良く手伝ってくれました。話も聞いてくれました。彼がいなくなって大丈夫かな？

My eyes look puffy and funny.  Anyway...  he has been helping me a LOT and listening to me a lot..  Would I be OK after he left? 

秋ですよ〜！秋！！秋子の秋です！！！あちこちで秋を祝っています。とっても美しい季節！(^_^)

It's autumn!  Autumn!  My name represents "Autumn Child."  People are celebrating autumn everywhere.  Beautiful season! (^_^)

バッグ整頓袋 Bag organizer

ここしばらく縫い物をしていませんでした。それで、先週こんなものを作ってみました。バッグの中用整頓袋。これ、すっごく便利です！！バッグを替えるのがすごく簡単！もうバッグの中で迷子になる物がなくなりました。みんなそれぞれ自分のお部屋があります。縫い物って楽しいしセラピーになります！
I realized I hadn't done much sewing for a long time, so I made this last week.  It's a bag organizer.  This is so useful!  Now it's so easy to change bags!  No stuff gets lost in my bag now.  They all got their own rooms!  Sewing is so fun and therapeutic.

ニキビ対策。Treatment for pimples.

よしあがニキビに悩んでいます。そこで、義理母がこのお茶を紹介してくれました。

Joshua has been troubled with his pimples.  And my mother in-law introduced him to this tea.

このお茶は吹き出物に効くそうです。甘草とお砂糖も少し足します。

This tea is supposed to be good for clearing up pimples.  She added some Liquorice and sugar.

ちなみに、このお茶（花）の日本語名はウツボ草。色んな漢方薬を知っている義理母はすごい！実はお母さん西洋と東洋医学を勉強した方なんですよ。中国人て色んなハーブを毎日の生活の中で使いますね。
English name for this tea / flower is Prunella.  I am impressed with my mother in-law's knowledge about the Chinese herbs.  Actually, she studied Western and Chinese medicine.  Chinese people uses so many different herbs in daily life.

菊花茶 Chrysanthemum Tea

このところめちゃくちゃ忙しくて、座ってお茶を飲む時間もなかったんです。だから、今日は休憩。前に作ったティーコーゼの中は。。。
I was so busy lately and didn't have time to sit down for a cup of tea.  So, I am taking a break today.  Inside the tea cozy I made a while ago........

菊花茶でーす。沢山の効能がありますよー。中国人はこのお茶を良く飲みます。ところで、菊の英語のスペルって本当に難しいですよね。勿論発音するのも難しいですけど。

is Chrysanthemum tea.  This tea has so many health benefits.  Chinese people drink this tea quite often.  BTW, it's so difficult to spell "chrysanthemum," not to mention how to pronounce it.

ネギ Green Onion

ネギ刻んでいたら、♡が！ちょっと向こうには口開けたおじさん？

While I was cutting green onion,  I found ♡s !  Do you see an uncle with his mouth open?
