オクトーバーフェスト第２弾 Oktoberfest Part 2

 理輝がミュンヘンに来たので、またオクトーバーフェストに行ってきました。

I went to Oktoberfest again as Riki came to Munich.

今回はローストダックをいただきましたー。おいしかったです。ちなみに、この１リットルのビアジョッキに入っているのは、ラードラーと言ってビールとレモンジュースを半々に割ったものです。この日私は70パーセントくらいしか飲みきれませんでした。
I ate roasted duck this time and it was delicious.  FYI, what I had in this one liter(33.8oz) beer mug is Radler which is a 50:50 mixture of beer and sparking lemonade.  I only finished 70% of it on that day.

音楽がすんごく良くって、みんなめちゃ盛り上がっていました!　注意：このビデオちょっと最後にサプライズが。。

Music was great and we all had a blast!  WARNING:  there is a surprise at the end of this video.

 テーブルは相席なので、周りの人達ともお友達になりまして、みんなで一緒に時間を楽しむのがオクトーバーフェストの楽しみの一つ。ちなみにこの方はシカゴから来た観光客。
One of the fun things about Oktoberfest is to make friends and enjoy the time together with people around you as we share tables.  She is a tourist from Chicago.

みんなと一緒にベンチに立って踊っちゃいました。楽しかったわー！

I stood up on a bench and danced together with everyone and had so much fun!

そしてテーブルの皆んなとオクトーバーフェストの歌を歌いながら乾杯！

And sang the Oktoberfest song and toasted with everyone around the table!

これはかき氷に見えるけどかき氷ではありません。大根です。

This looks like shaved ice, but it's not shaved ice.  It's radish(Daikon.)

大根や赤カブがプレッツエルやビールと共に食されます。おそらく大根がビールで一杯になった胃袋を落ち着かせるのかな。。

Daikon(white radish) and red radishes are eaten along with pretzel and beer.  Maybe radish settles the stomach filled with beer...

オクトーバーフェストの会場に設置された郵便局ではオクトーバーフェストの切手も売っていました。可愛いねー。

Oktoberfest stamps were sold at the post office set up at Oktoberfest venue.  It's so cute.

セイヨウトチノキ Horse-chestnut

 今日はとってもいいお天気だったので、イングリッシュガーデンへお散歩に行ってきました。ミュンヘンはここ数週間ずっと曇りか雨だったので太陽がめちゃ恋しかった。
Today was a beautiful sunny day, so we went out to English Garden  for a walk.  I missed the sun so much as it had been cloudy and rainy in Munich for the last few weeks.

こちらの木の下に何やら栗のようなものを発見。

I found something looked like chestnuts under this tree.

栗のようだけど栗じゃない。なんだろう？でももしかしたら食べられるかもしれないし美味しいかもしれないから、拾うことにしました。

They looked like chestnuts but it wasn't.  What are these?  I wasn't sure if we could eat, but I decided to pick them up as it might taste really good.

私の他にも木の実を拾っている仲間がいました。

There was a pal picking up these nuts besides myself.

ほら見て、とーってもきれいでしょ！家に帰ってオンラインで調べてみました。これはセイヨウトチノキの実。少し毒性があるらしく、どうやら食べない方が良さそう。。。こんなにたくさん拾ってきたのに、残念。。。何か遊びに使えるかな。。。
Look, look!  They are beautiful!  I came home and looked them up online.  These are Horse-chestnuts.  They are slightly poisonous and therefore it's better that I don't eat.  It's so disappointing since I picked so much.  Maybe I could use them for playing...

夕焼け Sunset

私達のアパートはこのビルの最上階。このアパートの一番いい所はバルコニーから見る夕焼け。昨日はピアノに写る夕焼けがとっても綺麗でした。
Our apartment is located on the top floor of this building and what I like about this apartment is the sunset we could see from our balcony.  The sunset reflected on a piano was so beautiful yesterday.

そしてこちらが今日の夕焼け。本当に綺麗で心が落ち着きます。人によっては夕焼けを見ると寂しく感じるって面白いですね。ビデオはフルスクリーンにしてみてね。可愛い小さなお月様が下がっていく様子も見えるよ。飛行機が飛んでいるのが流れ星みたいに見えますね。
And this is the sunset today.  It's just so beautiful and calming.  I find it very interesting that some people feel the sunset makes them sad.  Please watch this video with full screen.  You could see a cute little moon going down and the flying airplanes in the sky look like shooting stars.

オクトーバーフェスト2017 Oktoberfest 2017

昨日はお友達とオクトーバーフェスト2017年の初日を楽しんで来ました。

I had a great time visiting the first day of Oktoberfest 2017 with friends yesterday.

今年はオープニングパレードを見る事が出来ました。

I got to see the opening parade this year.

パレードがテントに入って来た後すぐの１２時に最初のジョッキにオクトーバーフェストビールが注がれました。そして、朝から待っていた全ての人たちにも１リットルジョッキに入った新鮮なビールが運ばれて来ました。

Right after the parade's entering the tent, the first beer mug was filled with fresh Oktoberfest beer at noon.  Then, the fresh beer in one liter mugs were brought to all of those who had been waiting since morning.

この女性たち力持ちだと思います。だって、一人で最低１０ジョッキは運んでいたと思います。10リットルのビールプラスジョッキの重さだから20キロいじょうあると思います。

I am sure those ladies are very strong.  I believe they all were carrying at least ten mugs at a time.  I am guessing the total weight of 10 liter beer and 10 mugs would probably weigh over 20kg (44lbs.)

私はアルコールをそんなに飲めない人なので炭酸水。お友達のビールをちょっとだけ頂きました。オクトーバーフェスト用に造られたビールはとっても美味しかったです。

I am a kind of person who cannot drink so much alcohol, so I had some sparking water and had a few sip of beer from my friend's mug.  The beer especially made for Oktoberfest was so tasty.

こちらはデザートのテント。ここでカプチーノとドーナッツを食べましたー。

This is the tent for dessert.  I had a cup of Cappuccino and a donut.

このテントはお菓子の国みたいで可愛い！

This tent looks like a land of sweets and so cute!

オクトーバーフェストではお化け屋敷もあるし、ローラーコースターや観覧車もあってとにかく大きな遊園地みたいです。

Oktoberfest even has a haunted house, roller coaster, Ferris wheel  and so much more.  It's like a giant   theme park.

とにかく皆んな幸せそうでした。そして私もとっても楽しかった。

Everybody looked so happy and I had a great time also.

秋の気配 Sign of Autumn

駅の近くに秋の気配を発見。

Found a sign of autumn by a train station.

 最近天気がとっても変わりやすいです。

The weather is so unpredictable these days.

 今年は寒くなるのが早い気がしています。

I feel it's becoming colder earlier this year.

お家で音楽会 A House Concert

我が家で初めて音楽会を開催しました。

I hosted a house concert for the first time.

ミュンヘンには沢山音楽家さんがいます。その方達が音楽を演奏する賜物を私達と分かち合ってくれました。素晴らしかったです。

There are so many musicians in Munich.  They shared their gift of playing music with us and it was truly wonderful.

 音楽を聴いた後はお食事でした。お腹も心も満たされました。
After listening to music was a potluck lunch.  Our stomach and heart were both filled.

洗濯機に負けた Lost to a Washing Machine

うちの洗濯機、コットンサイクルを選ぶと２時間３５分もかかります。だから、洗濯機のサイクルが終わる前に買い物済ませようと、スイッチを押して慌てて家を出ました。競争気分です。

When I choose cotton cycle, our washing machine takes 2hrs 35min.  So, I pushed a start button and rushed out of the house thinking I could finish my shopping before washing machine completes its cycle.

でも私はとろかった。。私が買い物済ませる前に、洗濯機は仕事をおえてた。負けた。。

However, I was too slow.  The washing machine completed its task before I did mine.  I was defeated.

でも今日のレシート、合計額 11.11。洗濯機には負けたけど勝った気分。

Though I lost to a washing machine, I felt like a winner just because I got a total, 11.11 on my receipt.

日本に２週間 Two Weeks In Japan

日本に２週間行ってました。

I was in Japan for two weeks.

姪っ子の第３子誕生。新生児の赤ちゃんってこんなに小さかったんですね。本当に本当にとーっても可愛かったです。いつまで見ていても飽きなくって、バイバイいうのが寂しかったなー。近くにいて育つ過程をずっと見ていたかったなー。

My niece's third baby was born.  I forgot how tiny a newborn baby was.  She was so cute and precious.  I never got bored of looking at her and it was hard to say good bye.  Wished I could stay there to see every step of her growing up.  

うちの息子たちもメロメロ。。。 My boys were in love with her, too.

こちらは弟が木から取って来た蜂の巣。そしてその中から取り出した蜂の幼虫。そしてそれをじっくり煎って軽く塩をしたもの。美味しくいただきました。

This is the bee hive my brother removed from a tree.  The larvae taken out of the bee hive and were well toasted and lightly salted.  They were yummy.  

髪も切って来ました。１５５０円。ショートヘアは手入れがめっちゃ楽！

I had my hair cut.  It cost me about 15 dollars.  The short hair is so much easier to take care!

小澤征爾さんのコンサート本当に素晴らしかったです。

The concert of Seiji Ozawa was amazing.

父の作る桃、美味しかったー！

The peaches my father grew were so tasty.

ミュンヘンの空港に着いたらスターウォーズ飛行機が。

I came across this Star Wars airplane when I arrived at the Munich airport.

２週間はあっという間でした。

Two weeks went so fast.
