I was so excited to find this red basil also called Perilla at a Vietnamese grocery store. The shop owner asked me if I was a Japanese. She said it's only Vietnamese and Japanese who loves this kind of plant. She is right. I love this plant.

I pickled the red basil in salt and vinegar. It's so yummy!
