桜 SAKURA(Cherry Blossom)

今日はあまりに素晴らしい天気だったので近所のスーパーまで歩いてお買い物。

It was such a beautiful day today, so I walked to a nearby supermarket for shopping.

 そしたら美しい桜の花がお出迎えしてくれました。

Then, I was welcomed by beautiful cherry blossoms.

今日の最高気温は21 度位。ほぼ満開に近くなっていました。

Today's highest was around 70F.  Cherry blossoms were almost in full bloom.

 この桜はなんという種類だろうか。。

I wondered what kind of cherry blossom this is. 

アパートの玄関先にも桜の木があった！

I just noticed this one right in front of our apartment entrance.

鳥の合唱団 Birds' Choir

日曜日アパートのバルコニーからミュンヘン野鳥合唱団、夕暮れのコンサートを鑑賞いたしました。一番最高の席でした。鳥達の歌も夕焼けの色もそれは綺麗でした。コンサートの中程でテノールのカラスのソロが聞こえます。（笑）
I enjoyed the evening concert of Munich birds' choir just from my apartment balcony on Sunday.  I had the best seat.  Both sounds of birds' singing and the colors of sunset were so beautiful.  You could hear the tenor soloist, the crow in a half way to the concert.  LOL

こちらはメスの黒歌鳥のソロです。綺麗ですねー。

This is the male blackbird's solo.  It's beautiful.

ヨハネ受難曲 Johannes Passion BMW 245 by Bach

こちらは、レジデンツという旧王家の王宮の一部にあるホール。

This is a hall which is a part of former royal palace, Residentz.

このホールでのこちらのコンサートに行ってきました。バッハによるヨハネ受難曲。私は音楽に詳しくないのですけど、このコンサートの歌詞を見ていたら、聖書のヨハネの福音書18章と19章を歌いあげていました。

We went to this concert at this hall.  Johannes-Passion by Bach.  I don't know much about music, but based on what I see in the lyrics of this entire concert, they were singing John 18 and 19 in the Bible.

指揮者の方はヘルベルトブロムシュテットさんという方で、NHK交響楽団の名誉指揮者でもあられ、今年９０歳になるそうです。ちなみにこのコンサートは２時間ちょっと。ずっと立ち続けで指揮をされる彼の体力すごいですね。もちろん、合唱団の歌声も、シンフォニーの音も素晴らしかったです。ミュンヘンでのコンサートの良いところは、切符が求めやすいお値段と言うところです。今回のは２５ヨーロ（3000円位）。

The conductor's name is Herbert Blomstedt.  He will be 90 years old this year.  FYI, this concert was a little over two hours.  His stamina to remain standing over two hours to conduct such concert was amazing.  Of course, the voice of choir and the sound of symphony was just beautiful.  What is nice about concerts in Munich is that the tickets are at affordable prices.  This one was 25euro.

ヴィース教会 Wieskirche

月曜日にユネスコ世界文化遺産のヴィース教会へ行ってきました。家から車で１時間２０分ほどでした。
A friend and I visited UNESCO World Heritage site, Wieskirche on Monday.  It was about one hour and 20min. drive from home.

中に一歩入ったら、その美しさにわお！って感じでした。

As soon as I stepped into the church, I was in awe of its beauty.

とにかく、どの装飾もとっても細かいところまで綺麗に作られていました。

Every decor was made so beautifully in details.

ドイツ人と結婚されたシンガポールにいるお友達は、この教会で結婚式を挙げたそうです。写真を見せてもらったんですけど、とーーっても綺麗でした。この教会では今も普通に礼拝や他の行事などが行われています。

A friend in Singapore who married to a German had a wedding here at this church.  She shared some wedding pictures with me and they were so beautiful!!!  This church still have worship service and other functions.

ミュンヘンに帰りました Back in Munich

先週アメリカからミュンヘンへ帰って来ました。こちらもずいぶん暖かくなって来てあちこちで花が咲いているので、散歩が楽しい！

We came back from USA to Munich last week.  It's getting much warmer now and it's fun to go walking as I could find so many flowers blooming.

南カリフォルニアから From Southern California

 ただいま南カリフォルニアにいる家族やお友達に会いに来て、彼らとの一緒の時間や暖かくて素晴らしい天気を楽しんでいます。
I am now visiting my family and friends in Souther California and enjoying the time together with them and the beautiful warm weather.

 先週はディズニーランドにも行ってきました。

I visited Disneyland last week.

ディズニーカリフォルニアアドベンチャーのアニメーションアカデミーで絵を描くクラスに参加しました。

I joined the drawing class at Animation Academy at Disney California Adventure.

そこでは、ディズニーのキャラクターをどうやって描くのか教えてくれました。

There, they taught us how to draw one of Disney characters.

このキャラクターが誰かご存知ですか？彼は映画フローズンに出てくるオラフです。インストラクターの教え方がとっても上手だったので、私でもこんな上手にディズニーキャラクターを描く事ができました。良い先生から学ぶと違いが出るなって思いました。

Do you know what this character is?  He is Olaf from the movie, Frozen.  The way this instructor guided us how to draw was so good that even I was able to draw a Disney character quite well, I think.  I learned that a good teacher makes a big difference.
