シュトーレン Stollen

ドイツに長く住んでいるお友達がシュトーレンの作り方を教えてくれました。ラムに浸したレーズンやオレンジピールが沢山入って、とってもフルーティーで美味しいシュトーレンです。シュトーレンはドイツの伝統的なクリスマスのお菓子です。もしもレシピが欲しい人はメールして下さいね。
A friend who has lived in Germany for many years taught me how to bake Stollen.  It has so much raisins and orange peels that were soaked in rum and tasted very fruity and nice.  Stollen is a traditional Christmas sweet in Germany.  If you want a recipe, please email me.

クリスマスマーケット Christmas Market

今ドイツではあちこちでクリスマスマーケットが開いています。

Now in Germany, Christmas Markets are open everywhere.

こちらは私達が住んでいる小さな街 Unterhachingのクリスマスマーケット。乗り物やコンサートや食べ物屋台や手作りのクラフトのお店や他にも屋台がいっぱい。

This is the Christmas Market of a small town, Unterhaching where we live.  There were rides, concerts, food, hand craft, and many more stalls. 

この時期皆が飲んでいるのは、ちょっと甘くてスパイスの入った暖かいグリューワイン。

During this season, people enjoy drinking a little sweet & spiced hot wine called Gluhwein. 

これはブルーベリーのグリューワイン。

This is blueberry Gluhwein.

これらは私がマーケットで買った物の一部。この手編みソックス３ユーロ。お買い得と思いました。だって、毛糸代だけでも２ユーロくらい？小さな瓶の中身は蜂蜜ワイン。
These are the part of what I bought at the Market.  These hand knitted socks were 3 Euro each.  I thought the price was so generous.  The yarn itself probably would cost 2 euro, maybe.  And what is in the little bottle is honey wine.

ミュンヘン市内観光 Sightseeing In Munich

皆様お久し振りです。本当に長い事ご無沙汰してしまいました。お友達が１０日間も遊びに来てくれて沢山楽しい事をしたので、投稿する事が盛りだくさんです。

Hello, everyone.  It's been so long since I posted the last one.  I had a friend visiting me for 10 days and we did a lot of fun things, so I have a lot to post.

ミュンヘン市内には沢山観光スポットがあります。こちらは、ニンフェンブルク宮殿。

There are so many tourist spots in Munich.  This is Nymphenburg Palace.

もうとにかく、お部屋の中もどこもかしこもゴージャス。

It's just gorgeous every room and everywhere.

馬車や馬さえもゴージャスで美しい。

Even the carriages and horses were gorgeous and beautiful.

こちらはドイツ料理の店。私はサラダの鶏のフライ。友達はドイツで有名なポークナックルとポテトダンプリング。めちゃ美味しかった。ビールと一緒でサイコー。

This was at a German restaurant.  I had a salad with fried chicken and my friend had a famous German dish,  pork knuckle with potato dumplings.  They were all delicious, especially with beer.

さてこちらは、レジデンツにて。この宮殿の華やかさと言ったらとんでもないです。これはひとつの部屋へのドア。

Here we were at Munich Residenz.  This palace was just incredibly gorgeous.  This was one of the doors to a room.

良く見たら全て貝で装飾されているんですよ。その数と言ったらとんでもない。本当に凄い時間がかかった事でしょうね。

When it was looked carefully, everything was decorated with sea shells.  The number of shells being used for this must be tremendous and the time spent must be loooong.

あっちもこっちもキラキラ！

Shining and sparkling everywhere!

どれほどの時間とお金がこの宮殿に使われている事か。きっと貧富の差が大きかったんだろうなー。それにしても、これらを作り上げた職人芸はすごい。

I couldn't imagine how much time and money were spent to build this palace.  There must had been a big gap between rich and poor.  However, the workmanship of those who built this palace is just amazing.

I found such cute wreaths for Christmas at Viktualienmarkt.

黒トリュフも売っていました。お値段見えますかー？

ローテンブルグ Rothenburg

ローテンブルグはロマンチック街道の中でも一番人気な街。家からは車でおそよ２時間半。

Rothenburg is the most popular town among the  Romantic Road.  It's about two and a half drive from our apartment.

This is the view of the picture in every travel book.

どこを歩いても可愛いお店がいっぱい。

Every street we walked, we found many cute stores.

このお店はクリスマスの飾りでいっぱい。めちゃ可愛かった！

This store was filled with Christmas decorations.  They were so cute!

みてみて、本当にどの通りも可愛い。

Look, look, all the streets were cute.

ケーキの上の方にある、雪玉見たいのがシュネーバルと言ってここで有名なお菓子。美味しかったー。

The sweets above cakes that look like snowballs are popular sweets in Rothenburg called Schneeball.  They were yummy.

これが私達が泊まったホテル、ロマンチックホテル。とっても素敵でサービスも良かったです。

This is the hotel we stayed, Romantik Hotel.  It was a charming hotel and their service was very good.

本当に可愛いでしょー。それより他に言い様がない。

Aren't they so cute!  I cannot find other words.

初雪でーす。First Snow of This Season.

日曜日にこの季節初めての雪が降りました。久しぶりの雪に私はとっても興奮、でも午後には溶けてなくなってしまいました。早く冬のコートを買いに行かないと、暖かい所ばかりに住んでいた私は冬のコートを持っていません。。。

We had the first snow of this season on Sunday and I got so excited to see it after a long time though it all melted and was gone by the afternoon.  I must now hurry up and buy a winter coat as I don't have one since we always lived in warm climate in the past.

寒くなってくると台所を暖かくしてくれるオーブンを使うのが好きです。

As the weather gets colder, I like to use an oven as it makes our kitchen warmer.

昨日は赤ピーマンを沢山ローストして皮をむきました。

I roasted many red bell peppers and removed their skins.  

赤ピーマンをローストすると甘い汁が沢山出てきます。それも使って、後はニンニクと塩とオリープオイルを加えて軽く鍋で煮て出来上がり。とっても営養があって美味しくって最高です。

When red bell peppers are roasted, a lot of sweet juice comes out.  So, I put the juice, garlic, salt and olive oil together with roasted bell peppers in a pot and heat it to boil and it's done.  This dish is very nutritious, delicious and nice.

温泉宿とノイシュヴァンシュタイン城 SPA hotel and Neuschwanstein Castle

先週末はドイツの祭日の為連休だったので、Bad Oberdorfと言う小さな街まで小旅行に行って来ました。ミュンヘンから車で２時間くらいでした。

Last weekend was a long weekend because of a German holiday, so we took a short trip to a little town called Bad Oberdorf.  It was about two hours drive from Munich.

こちらが私達が泊まった温泉宿。色んな種類のサウナに入ったり硫黄温泉プールで泳いだり、オイルマッサージをしてもい、美味しい物も食べて、とっても元気回復しました。ドイツでは、男も女も裸でサウナに入るらしいんです。シャワーの所で裸のおじさんが向かって来てかなり吃驚しました。。その時私は水着来てました。

This is the SPA hotel we stayed.  We got so rejuvenated after different kind of sauna, indoor sulfur water pool, oil massage and eating good food.  In Germany, men and women seem to go into sauna together naked.  I was quite surprised when a naked man came walking towards me just outside a sauna.  I was wearing a swimsuit at that time.  Phew...

ホテルの部屋から聞こえる牛のベルがとっても平和な感じでした。

The sound of cow bells that we could hear from our hotel room was so peaceful.

このベーカリーのチョコレートトリュフがすごく美味しいのに祭日で閉まってました。とってもがっかりしたけど、お花を楽しんできました。

This bakery makes very yummy chocolate truffles, but it was closed due to the holiday.  We got so disappointed, but we enjoyed the flowers.

ドイツに来たら必見、超有名で大人気のノイシュヴァンシュタイン城にも寄ってきました。天気がよかったので凄く綺麗な写真が撮れました。

We stopped by at a very famous, popular and must-see sightseeing spot in Germany,  Neuschwanstein Castle.  The weather was so perfect that we were able to take beautiful photos.

色んな国から大勢の観光客が来ていました、そして凄い数のアジア人！

There were so many tourist from different countries and so many Asians!

ビデオの最初の方でも橋が見えますが、そこがお城を一番綺麗に撮れる場所で大人気なんです。その日も人でごった返していました。
In the beginning of the video, you see a bridge and that's where you can take the best shot of the castle, therefore it's a very popular spot and it was packed with people on that day.

お城を見た後は軽く晩ご飯。ミュンヘンに来たらぜひ食べたい、白ソーセージ、小麦ビール（白ビール）にプレツェル、アップルシュトルーデルバニラースがけ、グーラッシュスープ。どれも美味しかった〜！

After enjoying the castle, we had a light dinner.  These are the must-eat food when you come to Munich, Weisswurst with pretzel and wheat beer, apple strudel with vanilla sauce, and goulash soup.  They were all good.

旅行の間ずっとお日様と青空に恵まれました。そして今ミュンヘンは曇りや雨。本当に恵まれた旅を神様に感謝。

We were blessed with sunshine and blue sky during the trip and now it's cloudy and rain in Munich.  Thanking God for the blessed trip.
