理輝日本へ帰る Riki Returned to Japan

今日、理輝がアメリカでの約一ヶ月の滞在を終えて日本へと帰って行きました。寂しくなるなー。

Riki left for Japan today after staying in USA for about a month.  We'll miss you.  

アメリカ最後の食事はラーメン。(^O^)  旅の安全を祈っているよ。

The last meal in USA was Ramen noodle.  (^O^)  Praying for a safe trip.

シナボン CINNABON

シナボンとういのはアメリカで超有名な、超甘くて美味しいシナモンロールのお店。

CINNABON is a very famous shop for very sweet and yummy cinnamon rolls.

最後にシナボンを食べたのが昔過ぎていつなのか思い出せない。今日モールでランチの後に啓安と理輝と私で一つを分けて頂き、明日の朝食用に一パックを買いました。

The last time I had Cinnabon was so long ago that I couldn't remember when it was.  Today, Joshua, Riki and I shared one in a mall after lunch and bought a pack for the breakfast tomorrow morning.

こちらがとっても甘くて美味しいシナモンロールです。ちなみに、１個のカロリーがなんと８８０カロリー。それを燃焼する為には、速歩きで５時間くらい歩かないといけない計算。ぎゃー！！って感じですが。大丈夫！超たまにしか食べないんですから、罪悪感なんて感じないで楽しまなくっちゃー♡
These are the sweet and yummy cinnamon rolls.  FYI, one cinnamon roll is about 880 calories.  In order to burn all that calories, one must go for a brisk walking for five hours!!!  WOW!!!  But it's OK,  I only have these once in a blue moon, so I should really enjoy it without feeling quilty.

リラックスぅー Relaxing

 今日は金曜日だったんですけど、学校がお休みでした。それで、ワインカントリーにある友達の家でリラックスぅー。
Today was Friday, but there was no school, so we went to a friend's house in wine country and relaxed.

 １年半ぶりに泳いだぁー。気持ち良かったー。

It's been a year and a half since I swam the last time.  I felt good.

 皆リラックスしてハッピー。

Everybody was relaxed and happy.

 友達のバーベキューは最高！

My friend's barbecue was really good!

超でかいリブアイステーキとソーセージ。

A really big ribeye steak and a sausage.

 どれもめちゃ美味しくって、たーくさん食べました。

Everything was so good and everybody ate so much.

夜は皆で綺麗な星を眺めました。流れ星がいくつも見えてラッキー。

At night, we gazed at beautiful stars in the sky.  We were lucky to see a few shooting stars.  

とっても良い一日でした。

It was a good day.

ちなみに、私達がプールとバーベキューと星空を楽しんでいる間、たけちゃんは一生懸命お仕事。ドイツで長い長い会議に出ていました。ドイツ人てみーんな大きい！勿論手にはビールだ〜！

FYI, while we were enjoying the pool, B.B.Q. and night sky, T.K. was working hard.  He was attending a very long meeting in Germany.  He said Germans are all big!  Got beer in their hands, of course!!!

暑いぃ＝＝！ HOT===!

このところテメキュラめちゃくちゃ暑いですぅ＝ー！！これ今日午後５時に撮った写真。
Lately, it's been so HOT here in Temecula===!  This photo was taken around 5pm today. (107F)

ただ今夜の１０時。まだ３０度あります。明日の最高気温は３９度らしい。ふー。
The current temperature at 10pm is 86F and the tomorrow's highest is going to be 102F.  Sigh...

多肉植物 Succulents

お友達から何種類かの多肉植物を頂いたので、家にあるものと合わせて寄せ植えを作る事に。

A friend gave me a few different kinds of succulents, so I decided to make a succulent arrangement using hers and some from my garden.

真上から見るとこのような感じ。

なかなか可愛く仕上がってとってもハッピ〜！

The finished arrangement looks really cute and made me happy!

ペットボトルのふた Pet Bottle Caps

皆さんも顔が見えますかぁー？

Do you see a face, too?  

 感動したのは、顔ではなくて、このペットボトルの蓋のデザインです。

It's not by the face that I was impressed, but by the design of this pet bottle cap.

 ボトルの蓋をねじって開けても、この部分はまだ繋がっているんです。

This part of the cap is still connected even after opening the bottle by twisting it.

 だから、飲む時も蓋はついたまま。そして、決してなくなりません。

Therefore, the cap remains attached to the bottle when you drink and it will never be lost.

こんなデザインは必要ないと言う人もいるかもしれませんが、私はこんなデザインを考えた人が凄いと思うわけです。皆さんもこんなペットボトルの蓋見た事ありますか？

Some people might say such design is not necessary, but I think whoever came up with this design is awesome.  Have you seen this kind of pet bottle caps before?

野菜嫌い Don't Like Vegetables

今１６歳のケビンはあまりお野菜が好きではありません。でも、先日見つけたこの写真を見たら、あらら。。お野菜をもぐもぐとかき込んで食べているではありませんか。いつからお野菜を嫌いになっちゃったのかなーと呟いていたら。本人に言わせると、この写真を見たら、無理矢理いやいやかき込んでいるのがわかるでしょ、昔から好きじゃあないんだよ。。。と言うのです。そうかな？この写真を見て、あなたはこの子がお野菜好きの子に見えますか？嫌いな子に見えますか？

Kevin, who is now sixteen, doesn't like vegetables so much.  However, I found this picture the other day and look who is cramming vegetables into his mouth.  I was talking to myself saying when did Kevin stop liking vegetables.  He heard me and said it's pretty obvious when we looked at this picture how he was trying to shovel all the vegetables into his mouth because he never liked vegetables.  I wasn't convinced.  What do you think?  By looking at this picture, do you think this child likes vegetables or he doesn't?
