We arrived in Matsumoto, Japan early this week.
Riki is going to Doshisha University in Kyoto from September. As for his very first step to prepare himself for the college life in Japan, he opened his bank account. Of course, the application form had to be filled in Japanese. Riki was in a bit of trouble... he couldn't write Katakana! He never studied Japanese. He never lived in Japan. He could carry daily conversations, but I am not sure how he can handle complicated matters in Japanese alone. He could read Kanji(Chinese characters) with Chinese prononciations since he completed Chinese AP, but I don't know how much Kanji he could read with Japanese prononciations..
