This is the market that is about 10 minutes walk from home. There are meat, fish, veggies, fruits, and flower shops and cafeterias. Probably, all together over 50 small shops are there.
There, I found peanuts still with stems and leaves. I've seen Edamame(soy beans) just like this before, but never seen peanuts like this.
Well, I knew peanuts grow underground in the soil. Maybe, you, yes, you...thought peanuts grow on trees just like almonds and walnuts???!! (^_^)

Pruning
This is the bougainvillea which I trimmed down so much last month. Now it looks like this.
The branches were getting long, so I pruned some branches a few weeks ago. Now many more new leaves are coming out of the branches I trimmed. But....
The branches that I didn't trim are just keep growing longer and remain skinny. It reminded me of lessons from our lives. Pruning may seem harsh on the tree, but it helps the tree grow stronger. SO, occasional hardships (pruning) in our lives are good things?!!! (^_-)~☆

Local food
I bought those three different snacks at a market yesterday.
They were selling many more different kinds just as you see in this photo.
This is how they look.
One has bamboo shoot and black mushroom filling and the other has leek.
This one got sweet black sesame paste filling. It's for dessert. They were all good.

Planted.
I bought a small pot of basil from a grocery store and planted them in my garden. The soil there is a bit hard. I don't know...would they grow?
This many were all in a really really tiny pot, so they were tall and skinny! Hope they will grow strong, I want to make the pesto sauce my friend taught me. I need at least one cup of fresh basil leaves. Let's see how long it's going to take before I can harvest a cup full?

Somebody--....
I'd seen dead, dried and flattened frogs on road on a sunny day after the rain in Japan, but the one like this.... I haven't seen. Quite ugly...
Hope somebody will clean it up soon... or a dog or a cat will come and eat? or very heavy rain will wash it away....Hope so~! Because it's lying right next to our front gate....

Dorm Food
It's been almost four months since Joshua moved into his dorm. Just as he started missing Japanese and Chinese food, the cafeteria opened an Asian cuisine section. This is a photo sent from Joshua a few days ago. Some warm rice with grilled salmon and noodle and so on... I am so happy for him!

Entrepreneur?!
Those are the handcrafted wallets Kevin carries around all the time. They are made with duct tape. One of his class mate really liked it and asked him to make one for him. Kevin charged him five dollars and make one. Then, other friends started asking, too.
Order came in one by one. In the end, he made more than 15, I think... He even had some market strategy like $1 additional charge for letters and $5 for express service!! At the moment, he stopped taking orders because he got bored and tired of making them, I think... This sort of business maybe the right fit for him.

This is Kevin's workshop.

。The answer is..
One of the things I like about Singapore is that roads are covered by trees.
Driving could be very tiring. But when you are driving through tunnels of greenery, it helps me relax.

What I like about Singapore.
Back street.
Intersection in a city.
Highway.
Now, here is a question. What do you think what I like about Singapore?

Long or short?!
Well, well... I went to a hair salon after almost four months. Having long hair in the hot and humid Singapore is like wearing a wool scarf in the midst of summer. It makes you feel even hotter! So, I've decided to get my hair cut shorter. Then, Kevin said he liked it longer. What do you all think? I am accepting your vote!
