配達! Delivered!

カリフォルニア、テメキュラからの荷物がやっと届きました。

Our belongings from Temecula, California were finally delivered.

 この荷物が入っているコンテナは約１２m。テメキュラを出る前にそのコンテナにイニシャルを書いておきました。これは確かに私たちのコンテナだって言う証拠です！！
This container is 40ft.  I wrote my initial on it before it left Temecula.  This proofs that this is certainly our container.

６人掛かりで荷物を降ろして家の中に運び込みました。

ちなみに、我が家の階段は全部で４６段。大変でした。

Six people worked together to unload the things into our house.

FYI, the stairs in our house has 46 steps all together.  It was hard work for them. 

あっちもこっちも箱だらけです。

スカイパーク SkyPark

世界的に有名な？！マリナベイサンズのスカイパークのプールです。

World famous?! Marina Bay Sands SkyPark swimming pool. 

 すごいですね。

マリナベイサンズ Marina Bay Sands

１ヶ月住んだサービスアパートからチェックアウトして。。。
We checked out from the serviced apartment we lived for a month and....

新しい家に引っ越す前の週末を過ごすため、マリナベイサンズに チェックイン。

checked into Marina Bay Sands for the weekend before we move to our new house.

 お部屋は４８階。なかなかいい眺めです。

Our room was on 48th floor.  We had a very nice view.

夜景が美しかった。

The night scenery was beautiful.

 浴室は広々してました。

The bathroom was spacious.

あ〜〜、良い湯だなぁ〜〜！！！

Ahh~~~, feels SOooooo GOoooood!!

始まり〜！Starting~!

 いよいよ新しい家での生活の始まりです！しかしながら、アメリカからの荷物は１週間遅れで、まだ着いていません。たまたまソファーとダイニングテーブルを買ったので、座る所とご飯を食べたり勉強するテーブルがあります。他のものは、友達から借りたり、少し買ったりして、自宅での１週間のキャンプ生活の始まりです。
Finally, we are starting our new life in our new house!  BUT, our shipment is delaying for a week and we haven't received our things yet.  It just happened that we bought a new dining table, chairs and sofas, so at least we have places to sit and a place to eat and study.  I borrowed other things from friends, bought a few things and started a week of camping life in the house. 

これが私の新しい台所。あまりキャビネットスペースがないので、柔軟に良いアイデアを考えて私の台所用品を全部なんとか収納できるよう調節していかないといけません。

This is my new kitchen.  Space is very limited, so I have to be flexible, think of good ideas and need to make some adjustments to fit all my kitchen stuff.

今日の晩ご飯はケンタッキーフライドチキンとほうれん草の炒め物と鍋で炊いたごはん。自宅で食べるご飯はいいですね。特に１ヶ月以上も外食が続いたので。。。
Today's dinner was Kentucky Fried Chicken, stir fried spinach and rice.  Eating meals at home was very nice especially after a month of eating out.

ぶらぶら散歩 Strolling

 少し体調が良くなったので、出かけました。その帰りにちょっと前から気になっていたこちらに立ち寄ってみました。
I was feeling much better, so I decided to go out.  And on the way back home, I stopped by at this place I'd been wondering what this place was about.

 シンガポールはいつもきれいな花が沢山あちこちで咲いています。

There are many beautiful flowers blooming everywhere in Singapore.

 良く見て下さい。可愛らしい花が見えますか？

Please look carefully.  Can you see a little pretty flower?

 ほら、可愛らしいでしょ？こんな大きな葉と枝のこんな部分にこんな小さな花が咲いているってちょっと面白いと思いませんか？

It's pretty, isn't it?  Don't you find it quite interesting that such a tiny flower bloomed on this part of big branch with big leaves!

これもきれい。１５分くらいでホテルに着くはずが１時間位かかっちゃいました。幼児の散歩と同じですね。。

This one is pretty, too.  It supposed to take only 15 min. to get back to the hotel, but it took over an hour!   Sounds like a toddler's strolling. 

やられた。。。 Attacked...

シンガポールに引っ越してきてから４週間になります。今週になって、風邪のばい菌にアタックされて負けてしまいました。これはこちらで買ったお薬。これが結構効いてくれたので助かりました。今日は熱も下がり、身体が随分楽です。(^_^)
It's been four weeks since we moved to Singapore.  This week, I was attacked by a flu virus and got defeated.  :-(  This is a cold and flu medicine I bought here and it really helped.  The fever came down and I am feeling much better today. :-) 

オランダ村 Holland Village

 オランダ村と言っても、特別オランダのものが売っているわけでわないのですが。。ブランドものばかり売っているオーチャード通りと違って、こちらは小さい店が集まっていて、可愛い小物などが見つかります。値段もこちらの方がずっと安い。
This area is called Holland Village, but it's not that they sell things from Holland...  Comparing to the Orchard Rd. where you find a lot of brand name items, here you'll find different varieties of cute items.  Prices are much cheaper here, too.

ホーカーセンターと言って、お安く食事が出来るフードコートもあります。

This is a Hawker Center, kind of like a food court in US where you can have a variety of inexpensive food.
