ピアノの調律 Piano Tuning

 このピアノはおよそ１７年前、結婚１０年目の記念に主人への贈り物として買ったものです。それから私たちの引越しに伴い、このピアノも何度も海を越えて来ました。
This piano was purchased about seventeen years ago as a gift for my husband for our 10th wedding anniversary.  Ever since, this piano crossed the ocean many times along with our move.

おそらく前回調律をしてもらったのは９年ほど前のこと。ピアノを弾く友達に聞いたら、音がかなりひどいと言われ。ピアノが可哀想になり今月やっと調律してもらいました。
It was probably about nine years ago when this piano was tuned the last.   Friends who play piano tell me that this piano is quite out of tunes.  I felt sorry for this piano, so I finally had it tuned this month.

１時間ちょいほどかけて調律は終わりました。

In about one hour, tuning was done.

これでこのピアノもバッチリ！美しい音色！私もこんな風に弾けるといいなー。

Now this piano is in good shape!  Sounds so beautiful!!! Wished I could play like he does.

砂漠サファリ Desert Safari

 義理両親がミュンヘン訪問中の為ブログの投稿が遅れています。これはドバイ旅行からの最後の投稿。6月5日に砂漠サファリツアーに行きました。もう２週間以上も過ぎてるー！時のすぎるのが早〜い！！！
Haven't been able to update my blog lately as my in-laws are visiting Munich.  This is the last post from our Dubai trip.  We took a desert safari tour on June 5th.  More than two weeks have been past!!!  Time flies so fast!!

 砂漠に感動。 So impressed by desert.

 砂漠での夕日に感動。So impressed by the sunset at desert.

 みんなも感動のジャンプ。 Everybody jumped for joy.

 砂漠といったらラクダ。Desert calles for camels.

 砂漠の真ん中のキャンプで晩御飯とダンスのショー。

Dinner and dance shows at a camp in the desert.

 おじさんがデザートを揚げています。

ショーは本当に素晴らしかったです。

Dance shows were truly amazing.

シェイク・ザーイド・モスク Sheikh Zayed Mosque

　ドバイから１時間ほどの所にあるアブダビに一日観光へ行って来ました。その中のハイライトは何と言ってもこちらの白いモスク、シェイク・ザーイド・モスクです。

We took a one-day tour to Abu Dhabi where it's about an hour from Dubai by car.  The highlight of this tour was the white mosque,  Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

駐車場でこんな格好に着替えるように言われてモスクへ入る準備ができました。ちょっと怪しい感じ。

We were asked to change into this outfit at a parking lot to be ready to go inside the mosque.  We look a bit suspicious?!

 真っ白なモスクはとっても大きかったです。

The white mosque was quite big.

 中はとにかくどこも綺麗！！！ Everywhere inside was so beautiful!!!

とにかく美しくって、沢山写真を撮りました。ご鑑賞ください。

 これは世界一大きなカーペット。こんな大きなカーペットをどうやって作ったんでしょう?

とにかくすごい！

This is the world's largest carpet.  How did they make such a huge carpet?  It's just amazing!

 色もデザインもとっても美しかったです。Both design and colors were so beautiful.

ブルーと白の組み合わせって綺麗ですね。

The combination of blue and white is pretty.

These beautiful paintings on tiles were everywhere.

こんな広いモスクを見るのに１時間しかなかったんです。もっと時間が欲しかったなー。

We only had one hour to look at this big mosque.  I wished I had more time!

あまりの美しさに喜びのあまり跳ねてしまいました。😜

I jumped for joy as this place was amazingly beautiful.  😜

世界一美しいスタバ The World's Most Beautiful Starbucks

こちら、世界一美しいと言われているスターバックス。（ここもラマダンで閉店中）
This is one of the world's most beautiful Starbucks.  (Closed due to Ramadan.)

ただただ美しい！　Simply beautiful!

アラブ首長国連邦探検 Exploring United Arab Emirates

ご無沙汰でーす。私は10日間程ドバイへ行ってましたー。エメレーツ航空のスチュワーデスさん、素敵です。
Long time no see.  I was gone in Dubai for about 10 days.  Flight attendants of Emirate airline were all beautiful.

なぜか私の乗ったフライトはガラガラ。。後でちょっと理由がわかった気が。。。
The flight I flew on was quite empty.  I understood the reason later....

なぜか空港もガラガラ。。。

Somehow even the airport was quite empty...

こちらがドバイで有名なパームジュメイラ。

This is the famous Palm Jumeirah.

お友達の住んでいるホテルのレストランから見たパームジュメイラはとても綺麗でした。

The view of Palm Jumeirah from a restaurant at the hotel where my friend lives was beautiful.

ドバイはとにかく高いビルがいっぱい！

Dubai is filled with tall buildings!

高層ビルの多い大都会はやっぱり夜の方が綺麗。

Such a big city with high-rise buildings looks much prettier at night.

こちら世界一大きいモール、ドバイモール。でも、ここもガラガラ。。

This is the largest mall in the world, Dubai Mall.  However, it also seems quite empty.

こちらはモールのフードコート。昼時なのにお店は閉まっていて人がいない。。😂

This is the food court at the mall, but the restaurants were closed and there were no people.😂

そうなんです、私はラマダンが始まったばかりの時にドバイへ行ったんです。ラマダンの期間、イスラム教の人は日の出から日没の間、何も食べたり飲んだりしません。旅行者の私達さえも、公共の場での飲食は禁止されています。これが、あちこちガラガラだった理由の一つでしょうねー。

Yes, I went to Dubai a few days after the Ramadan started.  During the Ramadan, Muslims don't eat nor drink between dawn and sunset.  Even travelers like us are not allowed to eat nor drink in public. This must be one of the reasons why it was empty everywhere.

ちなみに、こちらが今週のドバイの天気予報。最高気温と最低気温を見てください！とにかく暑かったんですー！！！だから、人も少なかったのかなー。

FYI, this is the Dubai weather forecast for this week.  Take a look of the highest and the lowest temperature!  (41C=106F, 31C=88F)  It was very hot!!  This might be another reason why there weren't many visitors.
