春の兆し見つけた〜！ Found A Sign of Spring~!

小さな通りを運転していたら、黄色に輝く小さな場所を発見！

I was driving on a small street and found a small field shining in bright yellow!

 直ぐに車を停めて近づいてみると。

I parked my car right away and walked closer to it.

そこだけ小さな黄色いお花で埋め尽くされていました。

Just that area was filled with tiny yellow flowers.

なんて可愛らしいんでしょう！！！

How lovely they are!!!

そのお隣にはとっても可愛らしい白いお花、鈴蘭水仙も見つけました。

I also found this cute little white flowers called snowflakes next to them.

 ずっと寒さを我慢してきたミュンヘンで、今日この可愛らしい花々、春の兆しを見つけてとってもワクワクしました。
I was so thrilled to find these cute flowers, the sign of spring, today after persevering cold winter in Munich.

ハッピーバレンタインデー！ Happy Valentine's Day!

２月１４日はバレンタインデーですね。国によって祝い方が少し違うようですが、ドイツではどうなのでしょうか？アメリカや日本ほど大騒ぎしていないように思います。お店にもバレンタイン関連のチョコレートや商品はそれほどたくさん置かれていないように思います。むしろ、イースターのチョコレートが出始めました。

February 14th is Valentine's Day.  It probably is celebrated in different ways in different countries, then how is it in Germany?  It seems like it's not a huge event here in Germany.  I don't see that much chocolates and products related to Valentine's Day in store.  Oh, instead, I started seeing some Easter chocolates now.

この作品は２年前の今頃作ったもの。完璧じゃない端切れでも集めて少し手をかけてあげたらこんなに綺麗な作品に仕上がるんだよねー。人生も色々と完璧な出来事ばかりじゃないけど、神様が全部まとめて手をかけてくれて素敵な人生に変えてくれる。
This work was done about two years ago.  Even the irregular pieces could turn into a beautiful art work when pieces are fitted together and touched up with a little extra care.  Maybe life is just like that.  Our lives may not be filled with all perfect events, but God fits all the events together with extra care and turns our lives into beautiful ones. 

ハマってます。Hooked on This.

 先月福島のお友達を訪ねた時に、お友達のお姉様が沢山の美しい刺し子の作品を仕上げていました。とっても綺麗で恋に落ちました。
When I visited a friend in Fukushima, I had a chance to look at many beautiful Sashiko works that her sister made and I fell in love with them.

彼女のお姉様が材料やデザインが全て揃っているキットをくれました。で、始めたらもうハマってしまいました。
Her sister gave me this kit that has all the materials and design I need, so I started and I am now hooked on it.

これを仕上げたら、他のデザインもやってみたいな〜。
I want to try different designs when I finish with this one.
