松本へ向かう途中 On the Way to Matsumoto

 今週、東京から長野へ電車で帰ってきました。電車の中で食べたお弁当は、1/2日分野菜弁当と言う物。とっても美味しかったです。
This week, I came back from Tokyo to Nagano on the train.  I had this Bento which claims to provide enough veggies for 1/2 day.  It was delicious.  

そして、こちらがデザート、桔梗信玄餅アイス。めっちゃ美味しー。

And this is the dessert, Shingen Mochi Ice cream.  Really really good!!!

電車の中にあったショッピングカタログには、面白い物が満載。

The catalog on the train was filled with many interesting products.

 これでボイストレーニングになるの？本当に？？？どっちかって言うとおしゃぶり。

Supposed to be a voice training device.  Seriously???  It looks more like a pacifier.

It's a Ninjya hoodie.  Maybe, this could get popular in USA?

 これやってる姿人には見せられない。。。(>_<)

This is a facial fitness device.  Wouldn't want to see anyone if I were doing this.

これで本当に汚れが落ちるのかな？これだったら、パン焼き機に洗剤と水入れて洗濯するのと同じでしょ？！

Does this really clean the dirty laundry?  This is like putting detergent and water into a bread machine to do laundry! Right?!

クラフト仲間 My Craft Buddy

 こちら私のクラフト友の花菜ちゃん。彼女はとおーっても芸術センスが良い。フクロウのカードは私がお願いして作ってもらいました。
This is my craft buddy, Hana.  She has very good artistic sense.  This owl card was made by her at my request.

 初めてクロスステッチに挑戦。上手に出来ました。

She tried cross stitching for the first time and did a very good job.

こちらの織物も挑戦。彼女の色の選び方が好きです。

She tried this weaving, too.  I like her color choices.

素敵なランチ Gorgeous Lunch

 今日は素晴らしいランチを頂きました。こちらは前菜。

I was treated to gorgeous lunch today.  These are appetizers.

 オマール海老 Lobster

 ホタテ（中にはフォアグラ） Scallop(foie gras inside)

 鮎とお野菜 Fish and veggies

それはそれはとーーってもとーっても美味しいランチでした。そしてぬか漬けに梅干しに白いご飯で一日を終えました。おいしいランチをご馳走してくれたスポンサーさんに大大感謝。
The lunch was wonderful!  And I ended the day with Japanese pickles, pickled Japanese plum and white rice.  Great great appreciation to the sponsor who treated us to this wonderful lunch.

日本と紫陽花 Japan & Hydrangea

土曜日によしあの学部の卒業式に出て、日曜日に日本へ飛びました。

We attended Joshua's departmental graduation on Saturday and left for Japan on Sunday.

そして、月曜日の夕方日本へ到着。

And we arrived in Japan on Monday evening.

同じフライトだったリアーナをケビンが激写。

Kevin spotted Rihanna who came on the same flight.

日本は紫陽花の季節。

It's the season of hydrangea in Japan.

 色んな色で咲いていてとっても綺麗。

They are blooming in so many different colors and beautiful!

そして日本は梅雨の季節。(^_^;;

And it's rainy season in Japan.  (^_^;;

啓安の大学卒業式 Joshua's College Commencement

私達の長男、啓安が今日UCLAから卒業します。４年前の夏、私達がシンガポールへ引っ越した時に、彼は大学の寮へ引っ越しました。あの時母は身体の一部が裂かれるような思いでした。そして今、彼が大学を卒業します。時の過ぎるのは早い。
Our oldest son, Joshua is graduating from UCLA today.  Four years ago in summer, Joshua moved into his dorm, and we moved to Singapore.  At that time, I felt like a part of my body was torn.  Now, he is graduating from a university.  The time sure flies quickly.

こちらは、今日の２時からの卒業式の様子。

啓安は、米国フォルニア時間午後７時からの卒業式に出ます。こちらのアドレスでネットでライブで見られますよー。ちなみに、日本時間午前１１時からです。

梅ジュース２ Chinese Plum(Ume) Juice 2

梅ジュース、出来上がってます。やっぱり梅ジュースは酸っぱい(>_<)ですが、美味しいです。効能もいっぱいの梅ジュース。梅が見つかってとってもラッキー。
Ume Juice is now ready to drink.  It's sour, but it's good.  Knowing that it has a lot of health benefits, I feel very lucky that I found Ume in a store.

短く短く Shorter & Shorter

先週の木曜日、テメキュラから南へ76キロ、OKヘアサロンまでヘアカットに行って来ました。時速120キロでおよそ５０分。ちなみに、テメキュラから車で、ロサンゼルスまで２時間、ラスベガスまで４時間、アリゾナまで８時間,メキシコまでは1時間半です。

I went to OK Hair Salon, 47 miles south of Temecula, to get my hair cut last Thursday.  It takes about 50 min. driving 75m/hr.  FYI, from Temecula by car, 2 hrs to Los Angeles, 4 hrs to Las Vegas, 8 hrs to Arizona, and 1&1/2 hrs to Mexico.

で、以前より更に短く切ってもらいました。これからはしばらく伸ばそうと思います。
And I got my hair cut even shorter than before.  I think I will probably let it grow for a while from now on.
