只今香港です。主人の実家に来ています。実家は、元朗と言う街の近く。中国の深圳にも近いです。香港は只今とっても蒸し暑くって、その上どこに行っても人が多くってゴチャゴチャしていて不快指数120%
We are now in Hong Kong visiting parents-in-law. Their house is close to a city called Yuen Long. It"s also close to Shenzhen, China. The weather in Hong Kong now is so hot and humid, on top of that, everywhere we go, places are filled with people and stuff which makes discomfort index of 120%!
義理母の作る中華ちまきは最高！端午節の時に食べるちまき。今年の端午節は6月初旬で、義理母は、義理父と義理妹と共に119個のちまきを作ったそうです。その内の30個を私達のためにとって置いてくれました。とおーーっても美味しかったです。ありがとう！
The Zongzi (sticky rice dumpling) that my mother-in-law makes is the BEST! The Zongzi is supposed to be eaten during the Dragon Boat Festival. It was in early June this year and she made 119 Zongzi with the help of father-in-law and daughter-in-law(not me, the other one (^^;; ). She saved 30 of them for us. They were super delicious. Thank you!

ReplyDeletePlease tell us what she puts in them. My favorites in Taiwan came from Bei Poo. They had pork chunks and boiled peanuts. I would scooter all the way down there to get some. Eve Q.

ReplyDeleteMy in-law puts pork, peanuts, mung bean, salted duck egg yolks, sweet rice. I think... flavored with soy sauce, sugar, rice wine .... maybe...
