上海料理、獅子頭 Lion's Head Meatballs

私、あまり料理は好きじゃあないんです。。だから、いっつも同じものばっかり作ってるんですけど、たまには家族の為に違う料理に挑戦してみるべきかと。。今日は、いつも上海料理のお店で注文する獅子頭という料理を作ってみる事に。美味しそうでしょ！

I don't really like cooking so much.  And I tend to cook the same thing over and over, but I   thought I should try some new recipe for the sake of my family.  So, today I decided to try this new recipe,  Lion's Head Meatballs which our family always order when we visit Shanghainese restaurants.  It looks good, isn't it?!

プロム Prom

先週の土曜日の夜は高校のプロムナイト。和訳を見たら「学年末大ダンスパーティー」なんてなってました。

Last Saturday night was the high school prom night.

 夜の八時から始まって、１２時くらいまで、セントサにあるホテルで行われました。
It started around 8pm and ended around midnight at a hotel in Sentosa.

可愛いカップルですねー！！

建物 Buildings

 シンガポールには面白いビルが結構沢山あります。これって、レゴで作ったお家みたい。これはマンションです。地震がきたらどうなるんだろうか？
There are many unusual buildings in Singapore.  This one looks like a house built with Legos.  It's a condominium.  What would happen if an earthquake hit?!

これは、主人が東京出張の時に、新宿のオフィスビルから撮った写真。いやー、ビルばっかりで、緑があまり見えなーーい！やっぱり東京って都会だ！！！あ。。でも桜見えまーす。
This picture was taken from the office in Shinjuku, Tokyo, when my husband was on his business trip there.  Wow, SO MANY buildings and so little greeneries!  Tokyo is a metropolitan indeed.  Well, I can spot some Sakura(cherry blossoms).  Can you?

火事？！ A Fire?!

これらの写真を見たら、誰だって火事だと思うでしょ？！シンガポールに引っ越してきたばかりの頃、これを見て、誰かに火事の通報しなくちゃと真剣に慌てました。真相を知って、これまたちょっと微妙。。。この蚊殺虫剤噴霧はシンガポールのマンションやアパート学校などなどでおそらく月に1回位は行われていると思います。あんまり健康に良さそうではないですよね。。。
Anybody would think it's a fire when you look at those photos, right?!  When we just moved to Singapore,  I saw this situation and seriously thought I had to call someone or somewhere immediately to reaport a fire.  Later, I found out what it was and was a little concerned about it.  This mosquito fogging is done probably once a month in condominium, apartment, school complex or many areas of Singapore.  It dones't seem very good for our health.

人型 Body Tracing

これは、ケビンが２歳になる前に、身体をトレースしたもの。成長があまりに早い幼児期、息子ちゃん達の小さい小さい身体があまりに可愛くて、何とかそのサイズを憶えておきたかったので、こんな事をしてみました。いつかこのサイズで、人形でも作ろうと思っていました。ちなみに、置いてある物差しは３０センチです。青の線が４ヶ月の時で、紫が１５ヶ月。小さくて可愛ー！
This is the tracing of Kevin's body before he turned two years old.  Babies grow so fast during the infancy.  Boys were so SO tiny and so cute that I wanted to somehow remember the size of their bodies, so I did this.  I was going to make some dolls in those sizes one day.  FYI, the ruler on the paper is about 12 inches.  The blue line is when Kevin was about 4 months and the purple one is about 15 months.  So small and so cute!

必需品 Must-have

このお魚。可愛いでしょー！見てこの唇！でか。。(^O^)

Isn't this fish so cute?!  Look at his lips! Huge.. (^O^)

これは、私の必需品。いっつもこの魚を抱えて寝ます。まぁー、抱き枕って事ですね。
This is my must-have thing!  I always sleep with this fish,  my body pillow.

もっと短くー！ Shorter!

ちょっとさっき、髪の毛きってもらってきたー！今回は自分でやらないで、２４ドル払ってプロに切ってもらいました！
I just had my hair cut.  I didn't do it myself this time.  I paid 24 dollars(singapore $.) and had it done by a professional.

睡蓮 Water Lily.

 昨日の散歩の途中、こんな美しい所を通りかかりました。

During the walk yesterday, we walked by such a beautiful spot.

この睡蓮、本当に美しかったです。もっと良いカメラがあったらもっと綺麗に撮れたんですけどね。ちなみにこれはiPhone４で。

This water lily was so beautiful.  If I had a better camera, I could have taken much better pictures.  This one was taken with my iPhone 4.

ルッコラ Rucola (Salad Rocket)

 数日前に、ルッコラの種を蒔きました。
I sowed the Rucola seeds a few days ago.

 ブログに投稿しようと今朝８時頃、写真を撮りました。
I took some photos to post on my blog this morning around 8am.

そして、外出して３時頃帰ってきたら、もうこんなに緑で大きくなっていました。成長の早い事！ルッコラサラダを食べられる日は近い？！
And I went out and came back around 3pm, the rucola has grown this much and turned green.  This grows so fast!  Rucola Salad would be on the dinner table very soon?!

匂ってみてー！ Try smelling!!!

いつも、焼き菓子やパンの写真を載せるとき、皆さんに良いにおいも一緒に遅れたらなーなんて思っていました。なんと今日、グーグルノーズ（鼻）とやらが。。いよいよテクノロジーはここまで進化したか？！！！　でも、今日はエープリルフール、貴女はこの新しいテクノロジーを信じる？
When I post the pictures of baked sweets and breads,  I always wished that I could send you the good smell along with the photos.  And finally today, "Google Nose Beta" was introduced to the world.  The  development of technologies has come this far!!??   BUT, one thing I have to mention is that today is  April fool's day.  So, do you believe this latest development?
