２週間の車の旅パート１ Two Week Road Trip Part 1

私達は２週間の車の旅に出ていました。上の地図に行った場所が出ています。スイス、フランス、モナコ、イタリアへ行ってきました。楽しかったけど疲れました。。

We were on a road trip for two weeks.  Above map shows where we have been.  We visited Switzerland, France, Monaco and Italy.  It was fun, but quite tiring, too.

先ずはドイツとスイスの国境まで行ってフェリーに乗り湖を横断。

We first drove to the border between Germany and Switzerland and took a ferry to cross a lake. 

 私達の車もフェリーに一緒に乗ってまーす。白いBMW 見える〜？

Our car is on a ferry with us, too!  Can you see the white BMW?

湖の色が綺麗でした。The color of the lake was pretty.

 あ。。降りなくちゃ。。と。。慌てて車に乗り込みました。そしてフェリーを降りました。スイスの旗が見えますか？
Oh, it's time to get off.  We rushed to our car and drove off the ferry.  Can you see the flag of Switzerland?

 税関を通っていよいよスイス。Driving through the custom and we were in Switzerland.

チューリッヒに向けて走ります。Driving to Zurich.

チューリッヒ到着後ホテルに車を置いて街をぶらぶら。こちらはチューリッヒ駅。

After arriving Zurich, we left our car at a hotel and walked around town.  This is Zurich Central Station. 

 駅の構内には素敵なアートが。この天使が旅行者を見守ってくれているのだと。

There were nice art pieces in the station.  This guardian angel watches over travelers.

こんな大きな編み物の木。すごすぎる。Such a big crocheted tree.  It's amazing.

 路地を歩くと可愛いお店やレストランがいっぱい。

Walking thourgh alleys and finding many cute shops and restaurants.

高台の公園からの眺め。The view from a park on a hill.

今年のヨーロッパは暑い。鳩が水飲み場で楽しんでた。

Europe is also very hot this year.  Pigeons were enjoying water fountain.

この花は私からしたら雑草。だって小さい頃うちの庭にたくさん生えて来るから抜いて捨てていたもん。
I consider this flower as a kind of weeds because we had so much of this in the garden where I grew up and I had to pull them out and threw away.

それをこんな値段で売っているなんてビックリ！これは花じゃなくて鉢の値段かしら？

I was so surprised by the price of this flower/weed!  Or maybe this price is for the pot?!

このショーウインドウのとても可愛いドレス。なんと紙の地図で作ってあった！

This cute dress in a show window was made with paper maps!  Amazing!

教会が沢山あって、この時いくつもの教会の鐘が一気に鳴りはじめた。結構うるさい。

There were many churches and church bells started ringing all together just at this moment.  It's quite loud.

像の逆立ちー！可愛い。 Elephant's nosestand!  So cute.

これスターバックスの値段。スイスって何でも高いって聞いてたけど本当に高い！

This is the price at Starbucks Coffee.  I heard everything is expensive in Switzerland.  Indeed.

 めちゃ暑かったのでスイスビールを飲んで旅の１日目終了。

It was so hot, so I had a Swiss beer to end the first day of our trip.

教会の献金箱 Offering Box at a Church

ミュンヘンの街中のカトリック教会でこの献金箱を見つけてビックリしました。若い人はビックリしないのかも知れませんが、私はまだまだ古い考えの人間なんでしょうかね。。
I was quite surprised to find this offering box at a Catholic church in downtown Munich.  Young people may not find this surprising, but I might be an old-fashioned human being  after all.

超デカキノコ Super-Duper Big Mushroom

今日ヴィクトアリエン市場で超デカキノコ発見。

I came across this HUGE mushroom at Viktualienmarkt today.

あまりにも大きくってちょっと怖いし怪しい感じがする。。。

It's so big that they look scary and suspicious...

オオバン家族最新情報 Coot Family Latest Update

こちらのビデオは今日撮ったもの。実は前回投稿したビデオは１週間前のものです。オオバンの赤ちゃん達、今日は自分で潜って餌を採っていました。学ぶのが早いですね。。私も彼らのように早く何でも学べたらいいのになー。
This video was taken today.   The video in the previous post was actually taken a week ago.  Coot babies were diving and getting food on their own today.  They are quick learners.  I wished I could learn things as fast as they did.

オオバン家族 Coot Family

たけちゃんの会社の隣の池でとーっても可愛いオオバン家族を発見。余りにも可愛くってずーーーっと眺めていました。
I came across this cute coot family at a pond next to my hubby's office.  They were too cute that I couldn't leave there for a while.

お父さんとお母さんかな？水の中に潜って水草を取って来ては赤ちゃんに食べさせていました。魚をとっているのかと思ったらそうじゃなかった。。。潜り方が本当に上手で可愛いかった〜！そして赤ちゃんの鳴き声が黄色のゴムのアヒルのオモチャのみたいー！
Mommy and daddy coots were diving into water and getting water weeds to feed their babies.  I thought they were catching fish, but they weren't.  Their way of diving was so good and cute!  And the sound of babies' chirping was just like that of rubber ducks.
