ヒント Clues

先ほど出した問題はおそらくとっても難しいと思うので、ヒントをさし上げましょう。これは普通絶対に口の中に入れようとは思いません。これは普通、外にある物です。
The question I posted earlier is probably very difficult, so I'd like to give you some clue.  This is something I wouldn't have thought of putting into my mouth.  This is something that is usually found outdoors.

体内浄化 Detox

チャン家が最近飲み始めたこちらの飲み物。これを飲むと体内に取り込まれた毒素（農薬、放射能などなど）を除去してくれるそうです。さて、ここで問題です。この飲み物はいったいなんでしょう？
This is the drink Chan family recently started to take.  This drink helps remove the toxins such as pesticide, radiation in your body.   Here is the question.  What is this drink?

サンドイッチ Sandwich

子供のランチのサンドイッチ、いちご大福風サンドイッチです。美味しいですよ！皆さんもぜひお試しあれ。

This is a sandwich for kids' lunch.  It's strawberry DAIFUKU style sandwich and tastes great!  You definitely should give it a try.  

お客さん Guests

 最近毎日のように私の庭に遊びにきている可愛らしいお客さんです。

Here is a cute guest who visit my yard every day lately.

何匹かいるみたですよ。一日に何回も遊びにきます。

There are a few of them.  They come to visit a couple times a day.

鍋敷きの完成で〜す。可愛すぎて鍋敷きにするにはもったいないかしら？

A trivet is finished.  Maybe it's too pretty to use as a trivet?!

 布を正方形に裁ち。折り紙のように折ります。

Cut out fabric squares.  Fold them just as you do Origami.

台の布に縫い付けていきます。

 Stitch them onto a base fabric.

お花みたいになってきたでしょう?！

昨夜新しいレシピをトライしてみました。出来上がったのがこちら、山型イギリスパンです。いつもの食パンよりも甘くなくって、サンドイッチにはこちらの方が良いかもしれません。そとはカリカリで中はしっとりふわふわでとお〜〜っても美味しかったです。レシピはクックパッドのhttp://cookpad.com/recipe/629727です。

I tried a new recipe last night.  This English bread is what I made.  It's not as sweet as my regular white bread and I think this one is better for making sandwiches.  Outside crust is crispy and inside is moist and fluffy soft.  It was very good.  I used the recipe from COOKPAD "http://cookpad.com/recipe/629727"

1300羽 1300 Cranes

Thank you everyone who participated in this project.  I'm sending 1,300 cranes to the organization in Seattle today.  1,300 cranes means $2,600 donation.  What a great job, everyone!

飛んだ！ Flew!

旅行中お父さんが横に座ってヨシアも運転をしました。後ろから眺めているとなんだかある夏の日本でのツバメの親子の光景を思い出しました。

During our trip, daddy sat on the passenger side and Joshua drove sometimes.  After I was watching them from behind for a while, I remembered a scene of a swallow family in Japan in one summer.

お母さんかお父さん？つばめが赤ちゃんつばめが巣から自分で飛び立つのを少し離れた所で見守っていました。
A little away from a nest, mom or dad swallow was watching and waiting for baby swallows to fly out of their nest on their own.

 昨日はれて運転免許取得。そして今日は初めて一人でスーパーまで運転してお買い物に。
Joshua finally got his driver's license yesterday.  And today for the first time, he drove to a grocery store for shopping on his own.

 だいじょうぶかなぁ〜〜? ちょっと心配な母。。

Is he going to be OK~~?  Mom was a little worried.

よかった、ちゃんと無事に帰ってきました。

So glad that he came back home safely.

鶴 CRANES

みんなで頑張って鶴を折っています。ケビンが一番沢山折ってます。

We are making a lot of cranes.  Kevin is making the most.

Paper Cranes for Japanというプロジェクトがあって、鶴を折ってこの団体に送ると、鶴１羽に対して２ドルが日本の被災地復興のプロジェクトの為に送られます。今日はお友達もきて300羽以上折りました。現在合計760羽くらいです。1000羽目指して頑張るぞ〜！

There is a project called "Paper Cranes for Japan."  We make cranes and send them to this organization. Then a foundation will give 2 dollars for each crane to Architecture for Humanity's reconstruction efforts in Japan.  Today, I had some friends over and we made over 300 cranes.  Now we have total of about 760 cranes.  Our goal is to make 1000!  Ganbaruzo~!

田舎ネズミ Country mouse

田舎ネズミ達が大都会サンフランシスコから無事に帰ってきました。やっぱり都会には住めないと皆感じました。およそ1600kmも走って汚くなった車を子供たちが綺麗に洗ってくれました。
Country mouse are back home safely from a big city, San Francisco.  We all felt the same that we couldn't live in a big city.  We drove over 1000 miles and the car was filthy.  Boys washed it very clean!

私は５人の６日分の洗濯を頑張ってやりました。旅の報告をこれから少しずついたします。

I washed 6 days of clothes for 5 people.  I will post more about the trip later.

Monterey & Mystery Spot

This was taken at the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz.  It was a fun place to visit.  I'll tell more later.

We did two hours of cycling around the coast in Monerey.  It was really fun and the view was really pretty.
