剣道の大会 Kendo Competition

チャン家の４人の侍が初めての剣道の大会に出場しました．結果はよしあが３位、そして彼らのチームがグループ戦で３位をもらいました．他の選手の戦いぶりから色んな事を学んだようです。とてもいい経験でした．私は朝８時半から５時半までの観戦に大変疲れました．．．長い一日でした．．．

Four Samurai of Chan family participated in a Kendo Competition for the first time. The results are that Joshua got the third place and our group won the third place for the group competition. It seems that they learned so much from watching other people's sparring and it was very good experience. I was exhausted from watching the competition from 8:30am to 5:30pm. Looooooooooooong day!

チョコバナナの実 Fruit of Choco-Banana

日本食の店でこんなものを見つけました．「チョコバナナの実」日本の姪たちが飼ってる鶏のチョコバナナの実ではありません。。。バナナ味のグミがチョコレートでコートされたお菓子です．おいしかったよ！
I found this at a Japanese grocery store. "Fruit of Choco-Banana" It's not the fruit of Choco & Banana, the chickens my nieces are looking after in Japan. It's a chocolate coated banana flavored gummy snack. They were good!

修繕 Mending

２０年以上前にインディアナの小さな店で買ったこの鍋つかみ。シミもあり古くなってきたので、ちょっと新しい布をかぶせて修繕しました．歳をとっていた鶏が若返ったみたいです．
I bought this pot holder in a small shop in Indiana 20 years ago. It got so much stains and old, so I used new fabric and mended it. Now an old hen became look much younger!!

肩こりの原因 Source of my sore shoulder

春休みの間、ケビンと一緒にたくさんのペンギンとひよこを作りました．とても可愛くできましたが、私は副産物の肩こりに悩まされています．
Kevin and I made many penguins and some chicks during the spring break. They are very cute, but now I am suffering from the by-product, sore shoulders!!

パン焼き Bread making

このところすごく怠け癖がついて、焼き菓子を何も作っていませんでした．子供からあのパン「北欧パン」が食べたいというリクエストがあったので久しぶりに焼きました．
I've been so lazy lately and hadn't done any baking. Boys requested the bread,"Bra bread?!", so I made some for them after a long time.


外はさっくり中はふわふわでとっても美味しかったです．やっぱり手作りは良いですね．
They were delicious!...crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Home baked goods are the best after all.

マックファン Mac Fan.

MacBookに関してちょっと質問があったのでApple Storeへ行きました。その際ついでにMacBookのかどの部分が少しかけてきた事を伝えたら。。。この商品に関してこのような問題が以前からあったそうで、無料で修理してくれるとのこと。数時間後に受け取りにいったら、まあなんと、キーボードとその周り全てを新しい物と取り替えてくれました。思いがけない祝福にちょ〜〜〜感謝！！！ますますマックが好きになりました．

I had a couple questions to ask regarding my MacBook, so I went to an Apple Store. At that time, I mentioned about the top case cracking, then they said it was a known issue, so they could repair it for free. I went back there a few hours later to pick up my computer, WOW!! they replaced the entire top case (key boards, touchpad, and surrounding area.) for FREE!! I was so grateful for the surprise blessing. I am loving Mac even more!

完成 Completed

月曜日に始めたジグソーパズルが昨夜完成しました．啓安と理輝がずいぶん沢山手伝ってくれましたからね．．．良くやりました！
The jigsaw puzzle Kevin started on Monday was completed last night. Joshua and Riki helped A LOOOOOOT. Great job, boys!

春休みがあと１週間残っています．なんの宿題もないケビン。なにかチャレンジをと思い、２０００ピースのパズルを開始しました。日曜日までに何れ位完成するでしょうか？
One week of spring break left.... Kevin got no homework, so I wanted to give him some sort of challenge. So we decided to start a 2000 piece jigsaw puzzle. Let's see how much we can accomplish by Sunday?!!

花盛り Flowers everywhere

暖かくなってテメキュラはあちらもこちらも花が満開です．きれいで良いのだけど、私の鼻は大変です．くしゃみがとまらない！！
It's much warmer and flowers are everywhere in Temecula. It's very beautiful and nice, but my nose is suffering. I cannot stop sneezing!!
